Croatia 1-0 Wales
Joe Allen is fouled in the centre circle and Wales have the opportunity to attack once again. Gareth Bale is the target of a long punt forward but he's just strayed offside.
Croatia 1-0 Wales
Chris Mepham cuts out a Luka Modric ball towards the area and the defender quickly finds Gareth Bale, who races up the pitch. He holds the ball up, finds Will Vaulks but the midfielder's cross is cut out. Better from Wales.

Gareth Bale's getting a bit of rough treatment. He was livid his Real Madrid team-mate Mateo Kovacic wasn't booked for a late tackle earlier, and now Josip Brekalo has been yellow-carded for a foul on the Wales captain.
Jamie Lawrence is the first player to score an own goal for Wales since Ashley Williams against Iceland in March 2014, five years and 95 days ago.

I think Wayne Hennessey can do better for the goal, I really do, but the Croatia goalkeeper doesn't look comfortable at all. He's already had a couple of dodgy moments.
Croatia 1-0 Wales
Ivan Perisic, back for a rare bit of defending, slices a clearance under pressure from Will Vaulks. The Rotherham midfielder then sends a long throw into the box, which Dominik Livakovic fumbles before gathering at the second attempt. The hosts do look a little shaky at the back...
A much needed breather for both teams to get some water. Hope the Wales fans in the stands have remembered their suncream. Not a cloud in the sky.

Croatia 1-0 Wales
Chris Mepham pokes the ball away from Andrej Kramaric's feet just as the former Leicester forward gets into the Wales box. Croatia are looking hungry at the moment.
Croatia 1-0 Wales
A blow for Wales but I still think there's opportunities there for them if they get at this Croatia defence.
If there is one weak spot in the World Cup finalists' side it is their backline and it has been found wanting a couple of times. If Wales are a bit braver in attack, they could yet get something here.

Poor goalkeeping has cost Wales there, Wayne Hennessey has to come for it initially. He has switched off. Was it a foul? Maybe it would have been given at the other end. But it's a poor goal to concede anyway.

First and foremost, is it a foul on Harry Wilson in the build-up? I'm not sure.
Croatia absolutely murder them on the counter-attack. Connor Roberts has been caught again, he's too high.
Ivan Perisic just fires the ball across the six-yard box. Lawrence is trying to recover but all he can do is force the ball into his own net.
James Lawrence OG
Wales caught out on the break.
Harry Wilson is closed down as a promising attack from the visitors is snubbed out and the ball is immediately thumped up field to Ivan Perisic.
The midfielder is all alone with Connor Roberts caught up the pitch and Perisic gets into the box before fizzing a low cross that is turned into his own net by James Lawrence.

So much for a hostile crowd. The atmosphere in sunny Osijek is positively friendly, with both sets of fans in good voice.
Galatasaray this ain't.

Ivan Perisic again!
The Inter Milan midfielder appears immune to the heat as he is everywhere at the moment.
This time he pops up in the middle of the box to meet a low pass from Luka Modric following a short corner but sends his first time shot well over the bar. Had to hit the target from there.
Michael Reid: RE: 5minutes - 100% correct. Only reason I'm following today's game it to see if James does anything worth getting excited about against somewhat decent opposition.
Croatia 0-0 Wales
BIG chance for Wales!
A long throw from Gareth Bale catches Croatia napping but Harry Wilson's snapshot is straight at Dominik Livakovic.
Should have done better there.
Croatia 0-0 Wales
First shot of the game as Ivan Perisic finds a bit of space behind Connor Roberts but shoots high over the bar.
This could be a tough old afternoon for Roberts.

It is boiling hot, 30 degrees, the middle of the afternoon and the floodlights are on?
Croatia 0-0 Wales
Now we see Dan James as he gets the ball on the left side of the box. He cuts it back for a team-mate but Croatia are looking that little bit sharper as they snatch possession and break through Andrej Kramaric but good defending from Chris Mepham forces Kramaric away from goal and the chance goes.
