Absolutely great header. It was a lovely ball in. At first I thought it was Virgil van Dijk but it was Joël Matip. I am so pleased for the lad, he has done so well. How that will affect Arsenal, we will just have to see. Will they attack now or will they wait until half time?

You have to have a bit of quality out there. Jordan Henderson should not have allowed himself to get sucked in and make the challenge and all of a sudden Nicolas Pepe is in with a chance. The goalkeeper did really well, He stayed on his feet. I thought with the quality of the player, he would have buried that.

Liverpool 0-0 Arsenal

The VAR check is over and, unsurprisingly, there is no red card. Very odd incident.

In comes the Liverpool corner, Arsenal clear and break! Nicolas Pépé is lightning quick as he skips past Andy Robertson but the finish is poor as he pokes it straight at Adrian.

Liverpool are about to take a corner but hang on? What's this. Play is halted as VAR is apparently checking a red card.

Odd, not sure what the incident is..

Trent Alexander-Arnold bends a cross in from the right but Bernd Leno is off his line quickly to snatch the ball out of the air.

Arsenal then get forward quickly through Joe Willock and the ball is eventually worked out to Nicolas Pépé, who fires an effort just wide.

Arsenal concentrating fiercely at the back but living dangerous in possession near their own goal. Liverpool fans getting a little frustrated but their team currently on top.

I am very surprised it is still 0-0 if I am honest. Both teams have had chances. It has been a very open game and it is probably not what we thought it would be. Arsenal are not sitting back, they look like they want to win the game.

Strong tackle by Sokratis on Mo Salah just as the Liverpool forward attempted to skip into the box. Liverpool fans scream for a free kick but nothing given.

Lovely footwork by Roberto Firmino to turn his man. The Liverpool forward gets a shot off but it is blocked.

As things stand, it will take a Crystal Palace-esque smash and grab for Arsenal to keep the run of away wins in the Premier League going today.

He tries to play out from the back but instead ends up playing a perfect cross into his own box for Sadio Mane. The striker lines up his shot as Arsenal players scramble but, fortunately for the visitors, hits his effort too close to Bernd Leno.

Ceballos holds his hand up in recognition of his error. Arsenal got away with that one.

Strong break by Dani Ceballos as he leads a charge up the pitch for Arsenal, holding off a Liverpool player as he does so. He gets up to the edge of the box before finding Nicolas Pépé, who shoots straight at Adrian.

It is patient play by both teams at times. Arsenal are just weathering the storm at the moment and they are defending very well.

Nicolas Pepe becomes the first player to successfully dribble past Virgil van Dijk in the Dutch defender's last 50 appearances in the Premier League, since Mikel Merino in March 2018 for Newcastle.
