Liverpool 0-0 Arsenal
Arsenal have weathered that early storm from Liverpool and are managing the flanks a little better now. It's giving the Gunners' forwards more chances to get up the pitch but a good move breaks down when Granit Xhaka hits his pass for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang out of play.

Glorious temperatures here on Merseyside and Liverpool are increasing the heat on Arsenal.
Arsenal are under pressure. Their ploy is to use the pace of Pepe and Aubameyang but not much chance as yet - although Adrian's uncertainty with the ball at his feet is already offering hope.

Craig Smith: Arsenal look lost in this shape. Can’t allow Liverpool this much space on the wing. Risky diamond formation to play at Anfield.
Neil Moriarty: As an Arsenal fan, it's painfully obvious that Liverpool's high press is far superior to our ability to play out from the back.
Liverpool 0-0 Arsenal
Out of nowhere, Arsenal have the chance to take the lead!
Adrián comes racing out of his area to clear a forward pass, he slides in and succeeds only in deflecting the ball into Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's path and the Arsenal striker goes for the lob but it lands just wide.
Lucky escape for an otherwise dominant Liverpool side.

Liverpool 0-0 Arsenal
The balls continue to come flying into the Arsenal box. The Gunners have not settled at all yet. The only positive for them is that it is still goalless.

It's very frantic stuff, especially from Liverpool. It's just the final ball is not up to the quality that we usually expect from Liverpool. But Arsenal are playing well. Their front two are very, very lively. I think the crowd are expecting goals and whoever gets the first is going to shape the game.
Liverpool 0-0 Arsenal
Now Trent Alexander-Arnold is allowed to roam free down the right flank. His cross is knocked away for a Liverpool throw. The Liverpool full-backs are getting so, so much space.

Vincent Wood: I know it’s only match day three but we’re all agreed this is the title decider...right?
Liverpool 0-0 Arsenal
Arsenal are completely neglecting Andy Robertson over on the left, which seems a very foolish tactic. He's all by himself as Joel Matip comes forward with the ball and is screaming for the pass but Matip tries to go through the middle before running into trouble.

Liverpool have started very, very brightly. They are putting pressure on Arsenal who are quite content just keeping the ball and passing back to their goalkeeper.
Liverpool 0-0 Arsenal
Liverpool keep up the pressure on Arsenal as Andy Robertson sends a free kick into the area. David Luiz looks a little nervous as he attempts to deal with it before the ball is eventually cleared out for a Liverpool throw.

Imti Jamir: Don't understand why Lacazette is on the bench today.
Adam Salter: All the home teams have lost today. Positive omens for Arsenal?
Liverpool 0-0 Arsenal
Fast start by Liverpool as Andy Robertson finds himself with the ball and in acres of space on the left. He charges forward before delivering a low, driven ball into the box that's just out of Roberto Firmino's reach.
Liverpool 0-0 Arsenal

That's the record for the away teams in the Premier League today - five games, five away wins.
Will Liverpool buck the trend? Or will Arsenal complete the set? We're under way at Anfield.
FT: Man Utd 1-2 Crystal Palace
Manchester United
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Match of the Day: "They scored 2 and we scored only one. We just were not clinical enough in front of goal and they scored two very easy goals. I thought we got our act together second half, we just couldn’t hit the target. We have dominated the game but we have not controlled it.
On conceding: "We should have dealt with the last five minutes better. We defended poorly at times today and it cost us. Sometimes you do not find that end product and that happened today. We did not test their keeper enough. It cost us dearly today."
On the penalty miss: "Two games, two missed penalties. It’s part and parcel of it. Sometimes it happens. I have missed a few myself. If we score them it’s a different story. If we keep putting ourselves in those positions we will get more penalties and we will score. It is just one of those things. We trust them to score again"
Brighton 0-2 Southampton
Chris Wise
BBC Radio 5 Live at the Amex
That was a real test for Southampton. There’s been a lot of focus on their backline in recent months, but a clean sheet and executing a degree of game management should give them some confidence.
Brighton deserve credit too for their unwavering drive to find an equaliser, despite the depleted numbers. Florin Andone’s grim tackle thankfully wasn’t costly to Yan Valery, but certainly was to his team.
Brighton 0-2 Southampton
Brighton & Hove Albion
Brighton manager Graham Potter speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "We started really well and some opportunities. They came into a little bit. The red card would make it difficult for the rest of the game.
"We started the second half well - we had attacks and won the ball back. Then they score. I was incredibly proud with the effort they put in. That's life sometimes.
"It didn't look like a great tackle by Florin Andone. That's not a tackle we want to see. I don't think he's meant to do it but its one we cant defend.
"We're very disappointed to lose but learning a lot about ourselves.
"We're at the start of this process together. It's about how we react to these moments and situations.
"We tried to be positive with 10 men, but on a hot day it was a tough task against a good Southampton team."
Watford 1-3 West Ham
West Ham United
Manuel Pellegrini speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "It was an amusing game of football because both teams play in an attacking way so were always trying to score.
"As a manager, the most important thing is to win but there are different ways to do it. The fans saw a very good game, a good show, and these are the games that bring people to the game.
"Mark [Noble] is a very important player for us, he is the captain of the team. My first idea was not to play him for 90 minutes but he was telling me he was OK.
"[Sebastien Haller's] goals were two very important goals for him. coming to the Premier League is not easy. He had just one start in a difficult game against Man City, for a striker the most important thing is to score.
"The game was open but I told the players it would be before the game. Both teams, especially in the first 45 minutes were very open in both boxes. The impact of [Michail] Antonio was decisive."
