  1. goal

GOAL: Wigan 2-2 Cardiffpublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

    Omar Bogle (70 mins)

The former Wigan man scores against them for Cardiff!

It's almost like the Latics defence think Omar Bogle still plays for him, as they leave the striker unmarked to tap home from just a few yards out.

It's naive and the Bluebirds are back level.

  2. Postpublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

    Blackburn 1-1 Charlton

I get the feeling Blackburn are starting to turn the screw against Lee Bowyer's Championship newcomers...

  4. CLOSE!published at 16:28 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

    Barnsley 1-0 Fulham

Fulham talisman Tom Cariney comes oh so close to an equaliser!

Home goalkeeper Samuel Radlinger is beaten by his strike but defender Mads Andersen is in the right place at the right time to clear off the line.

Scott Parker has reacted by bringing on summer signing Anthony Knockaert for Stefan Johansen.

  5. goal

GOAL: Wigan 2-1 Cardiffpublished at 16:24 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

What a half it's been for Wigan's Josh Windass - a missed penalty, assist and now a goal!

His feet are too quick for Sean Morrison as he leaves the Cardiff defender for dead before curling into the bottom corner.

Paul Cook's side have turned this game on its head.

  6. CLOSE!published at 16:22 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

    Barnsley 1-0 Fulham

Fulham have what feels like their first half-chance of the game.

Big man Alfie Mawson gets above his marker but his header doesn't find the target.

Barnsley are absorbing some pressure at the moment.

Zain Westbrooke has scored Coventry's first 'home' goal of the season at Birmingham's St Andrew's home and they lead Southend 1-0.

Meanwhile, an early goal from Armand Gnanduillet after the break has extedned Blackpool's lead against Bristol Rovers, the Tangerines are now two up.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:20 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

    Millwall 1-0 Preston

Preston's Andrew Hughes goes into the book for a late challenge on the Millwall goalscorer Jed Wallace.

  9. goal

GOAL: Wigan 1-1 Cardiffpublished at 16:19 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

    Michael Jacobs (59 mins)

A mad few minutes have cost Cardiff!

Just moments after losing keeper Neil Etheridge to injury, Josh Windass' deflected free-kick falls kindly to Michael Jacobs for a simple finish.

Nothing replacement stopper Joe Day could do, but he's conceded just a minute after coming on for his debut and Wigan are level.

  10. goal

GOAL: Reading 1-2 Sheff Wedpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

    Sam Hutchinson (55 mins)

Well, Reading weren't level for very long!

Sheffield Wednesday went straight down the other end, won a corner and Sam Hutchinson headed in Barry Bannon's delivery for his first goal in three years.

  11. What did Cooper say at the break?published at 16:16 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

Steve Cooper's first half-time team-talk as a club boss has made quite an impact.

Cooper's Swansea did not look like scoring in the first period and trailed at the break, but they turned things round with two goals in 60 seconds.

The first, from Borja, was only his second for the club since he joined three years ago.

Mike van der Hoorn's header means Hull have to find a route back into this game.

  12. goal

GOAL: Blackburn 1-1 Charltonpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

    Dillon Phillips og (54 mins)

Desperately unfortunate for Charlton, who are pegged back.

Naby Sarr clears Bradley Johnson's header off the line but only succeeds in hitting his own keeper Dillon Phillips, with the ball rebounding in.

    Just the luck Blackburn needed.

  13. goal

GOAL: Reading 1-1 Sheff Wedpublished at 16:14 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

    Yakou Meite (54 mins)

The goals are flying in at the start of the second half as Yakou Meite heads Reading level at Sheffield Wednesday.

    QPR celebrateImage source, Rex Features

    Eze does it!

Stoke back off QPR forward Eberechi Eze, who is allowed to run forward and find the bottom corner.

    Ruthless finishing from the youngster.

  15. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 16:13 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

    Barnsley 1-0 Fulham

You just can't keep Barnsley's Mike-Steven Bahre quiet.

He tucks Toby Sibbick's cross into the Fulham goal but the offside flag is up against Sibbick.

  16. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 16:10 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

    Wigan 0-1 Cardiff

Josh Windass picks himself up to take the penalty...BUT HE HITS THE POST!

    A huge let-off for Cardiff.

Sean Morrison in particular will be breathing a sigh of relief after giving the spot kick away, and Wigan must dust themselves off and go again.

  17. goal

GOAL: Swansea 2-1 Hullpublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

Mike van der Hoorn (49 mins)

Two goals in a minute for Swansea who now lead!

Mike van der Hoorn is in the right place to nod home after Jake Bidwell's cross bounced off the bar.

    Wigan 0-1 Cardiff

All of a sudden Wigan have a golden opportunity from the spot!

Playmaker Josh Windass is brought down in the box and will take the penalty...

  19. CLOSE!published at 16:08 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

    Wigan 0-1 Cardiff

Bobby Reid struggled in the Premier League but knows where the back of the net is in the second tier.

He curls just wide from Nathaniel Mendez-Laing's pass as Cardiff search for a second.

  20. goal

GOAL: Swansea 1-1 Hullpublished at 16:06 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

    Borja Baston (48 mins)

Swansea have arguably been the better side since Hull took that early lead and now they're level.

Nathan Dyer sees his cross deflected into the box and Borja Baston loops in a header.
