  1. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:48 British Summer Time 25 August 2019

    Wolves 0-1 Burnley

    Burnley could be two up!

A corner from the left comes to Ben Mee and he heads it onto the crossbar. It bounces dangerously down near the left post and Chris Wood is trying to poke it in.

Ryan Bennett slides in to make the block and almost kicks it into his own net. It doesn't go fully over the line and Rui Patricio manages to claw it out before gathering it in.

The injured Allan Saint-Maximin goes off. On comes Christian Atsu. That's a blow to Newcastle, especially so early on.

Ashley Barnes is on fire! That was the finish of a striker whose confidence is sky high. Rui Patricio dived full stretch but still couldn't keep it out. A real belter!

That is a screamer of a goal from Ashley Barnes. What form this man is in, he is on fire. Burnley have the deserved lead.

    Ashley Barnes

    Brilliant finish!

It's sloppy defending from Wolves and route one stuff from Burnley. They play it long and get the knock down. It's bobbling around on the edge of the box - no Wolves defender taking responsibility of the ball - and Ashley Barnes just wellies it straight into the left corner.

    Sweet as a nut.

A couple of sloppy passes by Wolves in the opening exchanges but, on the whole, they have made a bright and breezy start.

There's a small flag of Mexico fluttering inside Molineux but it is Ruben Neves - not Raul Jimenez - who has gone closest for Wolves.

The home fans are singing about new signing Patrick Cutrone who is on the subs bench. The lyrics include the words pizza and pasta!

  9. 'That was silly from Winks'published at 16:42 British Summer Time 25 August 2019

    Tottenham 0-0 Newcastle

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

It was silly from Harry Winks really. He was worried about the counter attack and just pulled his shirt. It's silly for Winks to get a yellow for something like that so early in the game.

Richard Browne: I understand Christian Eriksen may be leaving, but how on Earth do you start Erik Lamela over him when you need to win??

Arthur Crube: Bruce wasn’t a popular choice and his record against top 6 sides is woeful but if he wants to get the Toon fans on his side, now’s a good time to do it.

Harry Winks goes into the book for a shirt tug on Miguel Almiron. It was all a bit scrappy in midfield then!

  12. CLOSE!published at 16:40 British Summer Time 25 August 2019

    Wolves 0-0 Burnley

Neat play from Matthew Lowton down the right creates a chance for Ashley Barnes, who receives the ball on the edge of the area in the centre.

He drills it low towards the keeper's right and he's not too far away!

Erik Lamela does well to retain possession and spreads it left to Danny Rose. He pushes it onto Son Heung-min but the South Korean can't get into the box.

Ooft, this isn't too far off! Ruben Neves has a crack from long range after a nice spell of possession for Wolves.

It's dipping but doesn't dip enough as it flies inches over the bar.
