    FT: Bournemouth 1-3 Man City

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth midfielder Harry Wilson: "I think we’re a bit disappointed. We created some really good chances but weren’t quite as clinical as we wanted to be. Against a team like City you have to take your chances and we didn’t do that today."

On his first-half free-kick: "I felt I made really good connection with it, but that’s what you practice for on the training pitch. I was delighted to see it fly in.

"I was happy to get my debut goal so early on and delighted to score again today.

"Everyone wants to play in the top division. I'm just trying to take everything in my stride to try and be successful."

There's an incredible noise inside the famous ground as the Wolves anthem Hi Ho Silver Lining blares out moments before kick-off.

    FT: Bournemouth 1-3 Man City

    Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, speaking to Match of the Day: "It was a tough game, we knew it would be.

"We have seven points. We should have nine, but it’s OK."

On Raheem Sterling: "We didn’t create so many chances today, but Raheem is still scoring goals, which is good for us."

On David Silva: "He played incredibly well. David in this kind of game – with a defence so deep and with such few spaces – is so good. He’s one of the best players I’ve ever seen."

Burnley have made a good start and were unlucky to lose 2-1 at Arsenal last Saturday. We know the threat Ashley Barnes has for them but Wolves create a lot of chances of their own.

Wolves will have enough time to recover from their Europa League game on Thursday and I think they will grind out a win. It's always tough against Burnley, though - that's a given.

  11. Eriksen chasing 50published at 16:22 British Summer Time 25 August 2019

    Tottenham v Newcastle (16:30 BST)

Christian Eriksen is one short of becoming the fifth player to score 50 Premier League goals for Spurs, after Harry Kane, Teddy Sheringham, Jermain Defoe and Robbie Keane.

And there has not been a draw in the last 21 matches Tottenham have played at home against Newcastle (W13, L8).

But Kane's record against Newcastle isn't the best...

  12. 'I am pleased with how we performed today'published at 16:19 British Summer Time 25 August 2019

    FT: Bournemouth 1-3 Man City

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe: "I thought we did well today, you know it was going to be tough. I think the biggest difference was that we had plenty of chances but we were not clinical enough in front of net. In the main, I was pleased with how we performed. It is tough to stop them no matter how well you play.

"We were close in the first half, we defended well but they have elite players that can open you up in seconds. I think we could have done more with the goals. We were disappointed with the goals we let in."

On Harry Wilson's goal: "It is great to see two goals in two games for him. We needed that lift going into half time. We had more chances but we just could not convert them. The pleasing thing is we had chances which is different to last season so that is an improvement."

On Charlie Daniels' injury: "I don’t know any more yet. We wait and see. I think it's a different knee from the last injury but seeing him go out on a stretcher is never nice."

Tottenham are getting used to playing at home now - that usually takes a bit of time.

Meanwhile, Newcastle are still a bit all over the place. They have already lost to Norwich and Arsenal but remember, former boss Rafael Benitez had a bad start last season and they picked things up. Steve Bruce has made some new signings and the fans just need to get behind the team now.

Newcastle United head coach Steve Bruce: "They [Tottenham] are a very, very good side.

Who knew Nuno Espirito Santo was a man of few words?

The Wolves boss' programme notes consist of a sum total of 55 words.

"Good afternoon and welcome back to Molineux as we host Burnley, who have started the season well," he writes.

"A warm welcome to Sean Dyche, his staff, players and officials who have made the trip, as well as Burnley's travelling support.

"Thank you for the atmosphere on Monday night - Molineux felt alive. Let's feel it again today."

Nuno does have a good excuse. It has been a hectic week at Molineux after all - this is Wolves' third game inside a week.
