He'll be reminding them not to switch off, get tackles in, deny space to FC Midtjylland. Don't let them back in and give them a sniff now.

The four [Rangers] goals have been sublime, they really have. The weight of pass; the run of Alfredo Morelos; the pick out of Scott Arfield; the touch; the stroke home. It's just incredible from losing two goals and scoring a fourth after being on the back foot for 10 minutes.

    Scott Arfield

Hold that thought. We have another goal in Denmark and it's another for Rangers. Alfredo Morelos tees up Scott Arfield, and then midfielder is coolness personified as he fires home into the bottom corner with Midtjylland keeper Hansen rooted to the spot.

Arms outstretched, Steven Gerrard celebrates in his dugout.

An uneasy calm has settled in front of both goals in Denmark. What do Rangers need to do? "Just calm down," says BBC Sportsound pundit Billy Dodds. "It's going to be nervous before the end..."

Wow! I didn't see this coming. I've got to say it's an incredible turnaround. I'm not saying they [FC FC Midtjylland] are going to get through this tie, but 10 minutes ago they didn't look like they were causing Rangers problems. I said the first goal they got gave them a lifeline, but from Rangers perspective nobody getting close to them. Really poor from Rangers and good from FC Midtjylland. I thought it would be easy street for Rangers once they got their third.

  9. goal

GOAL FC Midtjylland 2-3 Rangerspublished at 63 mins

    Kaba

Hang on a minute, suddenly the hosts have their tails up. Kaba plays a neat one two on the edge of the area before arrowing a cracking shot beyond the despairing dive of Allan McGregor.

Neither manager appears happy with the defending, but this Europa League has come alive.

  10. goal

GOAL HNK Rijeka 1-0 Aberdeenpublished at 61 mins

    Colak

Shay Logan is penalised for pulling the shirt of Colak in the box. The replays suggest there is very little in that and the Dons supporters are far from happy.

Colak dusts himself down and fires home the opener from the spot.

    Ogochukwu Onyeka

A lifeline for the shell-shocked Danes? Ogochukwu Onyeka pounces inside the box to fire a shot beyond Allan McGregor. Suddenly, the defending is rotten in the state of Denmark...

  14. goal

    Nikola Katic

Tie over? Looks like it as Rangers score a third goal with Midtjylland all-at-sea. The Danes fail to clear a cross and the ball is brilliantly fed to Nikola Katic who fires home a superb goal with the outside of his foot.

    Joe Aribo

Make that two away goals. Rangers double their lead with a ruthless counter attack. Jordan Jones, who has proved a thorn in Midtjylland's side all night, dabs a great ball into Joe Aribo's path, who steadies himself before drilling a superb shot beyond Hansen.

The Rangers dugout erupts in delight.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 48 mins

    FC Midtjylland 0-1 Rangers

The goal had a real stamp of quality. The cross from Tavernier was sublime; the movement from Morelos is decent off the centre half.

You know that the cross [from Tavernier] is coming in and it's a fantastic goal. Rangers deserve to be ahead.

  20. 'Lewis a colossus for Aberdeen'published at 19:53

    HT: HNK Rijeka 0-0 Aberdeen

    Tom English
    BBC Scotland's chief sports writer

Joe Lewis is a colossus in goal for Aberdeen. But the Dons haven't turned up offensively yet; we haven't seen that dynamism yet. There's a couple of weaknesses in defence that Derek McInnes will be worried about.
