Quote MessageThat's the disappointing aspect from Aberdeen's view. For St Mirren, it's been brilliant defensively, everyone has played their part. Aberdeen have only been allowed long-range shots and keeper's handling has been great.

Quote MessageJames Wilson is on now as an extra attacker and Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes is going for broke in the final few minutes.
St Mirren 1-0 Aberdeen
After being denied a draw by Scott Allan's late goal at Easter Road eight days ago, can St Mirren hang on in Paisley and bag three very impressive points against one of the league's biggest teams?
They haven't seen much of the ball in this second half, but then again Aberdeen haven't done a great deal with their glut of possession. We're into the final three minutes or so now...
Rangers 4-1 Hibernian
Another brilliant save from Marciano stops Rangers scoring a fifth as the big Israeli denies James Tavernier.
Rangers 4-1 Hibernian
Steven Gerrard is making his third and final change with around 10 minutes remaining. Jon Flanagan is replaced at left-back by Andy Halliday.
Alfredo Morelos
Ten-man Hibs are taking a bit of a skelping now. Defoe off, Morelos on, and the Colombian thunders a shot into the bottom corner after leaving Paul Hanlon for dead.
That's Morelos' sixth goal in seven outings this season already.
St Mirren 1-0 Aberdeen
A sore one for Vaclav Hladky, who has to smother Gary MacKenzie's awkward miss-kick with Curtis Main thundering in to challenge him.
Jermain Defoe
It's a hat-trick for Jermain Defoe! Game, set and match Rangers.
Steven Davis curls in a fine cross to the back post, leaving Marciano stranded, and Defoe nods home his third goal of the afternoon. That's his first treble in the colours of Rangers.

Quote MessageTony Andreu is shaking his head and so he should. There's no conviction in the header - all he needs is decent contact. That was a quite brilliant move from St Mirren.
St Mirren 1-0 Aberdeen
And just after that change, St Mirren go within a whisker of a second goal against the run of play.
Tony Andreu can't get a clean connection on Paul McGinn's ball from the right - it strikes his shoulder and bobbles wide. Had he got a better connection, he would surely have scored.
St Mirren 1-0 Aberdeen
Returning favourite Kyle McAllister is on for Saints after rejoining the club earlier this week. He relpaces Ilkay Durmus, whose goal still separates the sides.

Rangers 2-1 Hibernian
Another cracking stop from Ofir Marciano in the Hibs goal, who denies Jordan Jones. A third for Rangers would surely wrap things up against the 10 men from Leith.
Rangers 2-1 Hibernian
Ten-man Hibernian make their final change. Scott Allan is replaced by Flo Kamberi.
St Mirren 1-0 Aberdeen
Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Radio Scotland
Quote MessageSt Mirren are playing a dangerous game now. They're sitting deep and you would think it will only be a matter of time until they concede. They need to be able to pose a threat going forward and haven't done that second half.
St Mirren 1-0 Aberdeen
Derek McInnes goes to his bench as Aberdeen continue to press for a leveller in the Paisley rain.
Off go Scott Wright and Connor McLennan; on come Niall McGinn and Jon Gallagher.
St Mirren 1-0 Aberdeen

Quote MessageFor me it's a penalty, no doubt about it. Ryan Flynn's arm comes out and pulls the ball down - he is very lucky to get away with that.
St Mirren 1-0 Aberdeen
Huge shouts for a penalty from the away side, and it certainly looks like they've got a case.
Ryan Hedges cuts inside and his cross strikes the left arm of Ryan Flynn inside the box. It looks like a penalty, particularly under the new handball rules, but Steven MacLean waves play on and then books Zak Vyner for his protestations.
St Mirren 1-0 Aberdeen
Odd moment at the Simple Digital Arena. St Mirren goalkeeper Vaclav Hladky collects the ball as he slides along the byeline. With one hand on the ball which is sitting on the ground, Curtis Main kicks the ball out of his grasp, runs in on goal and scores. Unsurprisingly - to everyone apart from Main himself - it's not given.
Hmm.
