    Liverpool 4-3 RB Salzburg

Into the last 10 minutes. Jurgen Klopp was laughing away when RB Salzburg made it 3-2, he's not laughing now. He's trying to get instructions across. Liverpool look a bit more in control.

  2. goal

GOAL - Lille 1-2 Chelseapublished at 21:35 British Summer Time 2 October 2019

    Willian (78 mins)

Great goal! Callum Hudson-Odoi does well on the left wing, bulldozes his man to the ground and then stands up a really high cross to find Willian beyond the far post.

He's got a job on his hands to control the strike but does it superbly, volleying down into the ground and letting the top spin lob goalkeeper Mike Maignan and in.

Gee Em: how good is Minamino, he has played his way into the sights of many scouts tonight. Very impressive, a Kloppesque signing?

Adam Burne: Liverpool need to sign Minamino straight after this match, Cristiano Ronaldo-style

Dr Albert Poon: Well at least nobody can accuse European nights at Anfield of being dull...

  5. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:34 British Summer Time 2 October 2019

    Barcelona 1-1 Internazionale

Alexis Sanchez was sent-off for diving the other day and he's now been booked on the bench. Never change.

    Liverpool 4-3 RB Salzburg

I didn't see James Milner come on but he's had a shot turned over the top. The Kop sings Divock Origi's name but it's cleared by the men in black...

  8. CLOSE!published at 21:32 British Summer Time 2 October 2019

    Lille 1-1 Chelsea

And a good chance for Chelsea now, Mason Mount with a delightful touch to bring the ball under control and get a shot away, it's just about turned away by the fingertips of Mike Maignan.

  9. Postpublished at 21:32 British Summer Time 2 October 2019

    Liverpool 4-3 RB Salzburg

Come on lads, the neutrals want another goal. Sub Masaya Okugawa has a shot straight at Adrian when Erling Haaland was free...

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:29 British Summer Time 2 October 2019

    Lille 1-1 Chelsea

Change for Chelsea as Callum Hudson-Odoi comes on for Reece James - Chelsea will go to a back four. Tammy Abraham puts a good ball in but there's nobody there.

  11. CLOSE!published at 21:28 British Summer Time 2 October 2019

    Liverpool 4-3 RB Salzburg

What was that?! Trent Alexander-Arnold foxes the defence with a quick corner again, Origi-esque, but Sadio Mane totally misses the ball when any sort of header would have put the ball into the net.

  12. 'Liverpool cannot let it slip again'published at 21:27 British Summer Time 2 October 2019

    Liverpool 4-3 RB Salzburg

    Chris Sutton
Former Aston Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Liverpool have found their feet again. Mo Salah once again takes control. Once again, Liverpool have shown that resolve to come back. It's a clever header from Roberto Firmino as Salah finds the roof of the net. Now they cannot let it slip again.

  13. Postpublished at 21:27 British Summer Time 2 October 2019

    Liverpool 4-3 RB Salzburg

It's a pity that Kevin Keegan doesn't watch football as he'd really, really enjoy this.

I reckon we'll have at least two more goals...

  14. goal

GOAL - Liverpool 4-3 RB Salzburgpublished at 21:24 British Summer Time 2 October 2019

    Mo Salah (69 mins)

    What was that Paul?

What a game, brilliant entertainment. Fabinho does well yet again to nick the ball forwards, Roberto Firmino flicks on a deft header to send Mo Salah in on goal and he just thumps it in with the outside of his boot.

Paul Walsmley: I'm sorry Jurgen, but Salah is flattering to deceive the last few games. His selfishness and lack of clinical finishing is costing us. He doesn't even track back. SO poor this evening.

Urban Bourbon: Win, lose or draw, Klopp should do the smart thing and look to buy some of these young upstarts from Salzburg - they are simply superb.

    Istan-red-bull!!!

    Liverpool 3-3 RB Salzburg

I'd fancy watching Bayern Munich take on this RB Salzburg side. The visitors are so, so dangerous. Minamino and Hwang will be turning down offers like you won't believe.

Corner Liverpool though, they've found their legs again.

  17. 'It's another mad night'published at 21:21 British Summer Time 2 October 2019

    Liverpool 3-3 RB Salzburg

    Chris Sutton
Former Aston Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's unbelievable to see Salzburg come here and do that against Liverpool. You think of that back four and you just don't imagine Salzburg getting three goals but they have. It's another mad night in the Champions League.

  18. Postpublished at 21:21 British Summer Time 2 October 2019

    Lille 1-1 Chelsea

It was all a bit lost in the drama at Anfield but Lille were very, very close to taking the lead - Benjamin Andre headed wide from a corner.

Loz Smith: We are missing Matip big time here. Gomez looks very very rusty

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:20 British Summer Time 2 October 2019

    Liverpool 3-3 RB Salzburg

Three goals in 21 minutes for Salzburg. Liverpool are rocking. They've sent on Divock Origi.
