Really worrying half for Barça. Lots of players looking uncomfortable, defence constantly vulnerable to rapid counters, attacking play almost entirely reliant on Messi. Not good.

I've always hated zonal marking but because so many greater minds than me insist on it I always presume that there's something great about it that I just can't see.

Tony Lock: As a former centre back, can I just say that zonal marking should never be used by any team at any level. You have to mark players not empty space. Zones don't score goals, people do.

This Chelsea team is crying out for the defensive influence of John Terry

Dave Bookham: Lampard needs to get a defensive coach in. These young guns need to learn to defend.

Aaron: Salzburg have shown they can score goals and have sufficient threat to make anyone uncomfortable. Liverpool have show their defence is also ruthlessly exploitable.

If Klopp doesn't sort out this sloppiness and the porous defence we will win nothing this season. This game isn't over either

Salzburg may have grabbed a goal courtesy of Hee-Chan Hwang but there's no denying the amount of possession Liverpool have had in the first-half.

Ajax are in control at Valencia with Quincy Promes adding to Hakim Ziyech's opener to put them 2-0 up in Group H - and on course for two wins from two.

In Group G Zenit St Petersburg are going top as things stand, leading Benfica 1-0, while Lyon lead at RB Leipzig.

    Liverpool 3-1 Salzburg

    Chris Sutton

Liverpool were ruthless, you thought they were home and dry but that goal from Salzburg will keep them on their toes as they go into half time. We have seen Liverpool at their very, very best in parts of this game.

    Liverpool 3-1 RB Salzburg

    Chris Sutton
Former Aston Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

I thought at 3-0 it was all over but then Salzburg got a quick goal back and that could be really key. They look a threat in the final third, they just need to keep the ball a bit more. If they do that then Liverpool could be in trouble.

Femi: Chelsea just can’t defend set pieces.

Ceewhy Chris: Why do Chelsea zonal Mark at set pieces? Firmino scored a similar goal at the bridge.

The way Robertson and Alexander-Arnold play, it's almost like Liverpool have a front five. The performance so far tonight underlines what a good job Sheffield United did at the weekend. All hail the 2-3-5 formation!

Liverpool 3 up, looking like champions going forward. At the back they're not even Championship standard.
