Hasan Anfield: Ox is back, I’ve said it many times that should be our midfield every week.

Khan Karn: If that was Messi or Ronaldo people would be saying that's the goal of the season. The Ox has really added to the Liverpool dimension. Needs to start in midfield more now.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 70 mins

    Genk 0-2 Liverpool

Joe Gomez has only just come on but he gets a booking for stopping Genk from taking a quick throw-in with Liverpool stretched. The sort of booking a manager loves to see.

Roberta-lyn Grant: James Milner needs to be cloned, every team needs one!! Plays every position.

John Shaw: James Milner Testimonial = Play in every outfield position + end up in goal saving a penalty in the shoot out.

    Genk 0-2 Liverpool

I've not been to Genk, just trying to think what the most unusual place I've been to see my team play is. Possibly Tamworth, Boston (Lincs) or Yeovil.

Beautiful stuff from Naby Keita (that's what he can do), breezing past a defender and finding Mo Salah but he can't get a shot away under pressure.

That sees James Milner sent out to left-back now. DRL/DMC/MRLC

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 63 mins

    Genk 0-2 Liverpool

Andy Robertson gets a bit of a rest at left-back so Joe Gomez is sent on.

Royalties for the Beautiful South from the away end as Liverpool fans start to enjoy themselves now. When else would you pop to Genk? Football is great for an unusual trip.

Liam Hayes: Absolute filth from Chamberlain for that second goal. Let’s get some more now boys.

Paul S: Naughty that from Ox.

Ash Williams: Ox is showing what this Liverpool midfield has missed. Sublime finish.

He only really scores screamers. That was special.

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Liverpool defender on Radio 5 Live

What a finish. It's slightly short for Oxlade-Chamberlain to have the shot but he pokes it with the outside of his right foot into the top corner.

It's an outrageous finish by Oxlade-Chamberlain but you're right, it is beautiful. That's the moment we've been waiting for.

Barcelona are ahead at Slavia Prague again. Lionel Messi's free-kick is past everyone except Luis Suarez at the back post. The striker keeps it in play and sends the ball across goal - it hits the chest of Peter Olayinka and flies into his own net.

  13. goal

GOAL - Genk 0-2 Liverpoolpublished at 57 mins

    Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

What a goal! Good grief that's out of context with the rest of this game. Sadio Mane plays in Roberto Firmino on the edge of the area, he lays it back to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain just outside the box. The ball is a bit under his feet so he just prods at it with the outside of his right boot, no follow through and a sort of dink which lobs the keeper and goes in off the underside of the crossbar!

    Genius, really.

    Genk 0-1 Liverpool

A Mo Salah backheel is cut out easily. Liverpool a long way from their best so far tonight but as it stands it's a rare away win in the group stage.

I'm not really sure what Naby Keita is or supposed to be. Never really seen him do much for Liverpool. Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum and Adam Lallana are the midfield options on Jurgen Klopp's bench.

Mark, Syston: Salah has been awful tonight. Which is usually his cue to immediately score!

    Stephen Warnock

I've been disappointed with Naby Keita tonight. I wanted more from him. He almost ambles through games, he doesn't do enough to justify breaking into the Liverpool team. He seems to be in that Origi role where he's more of an impact player for Liverpool.

    Genk 0-1 Liverpool

Good play from Genk down the left, all stems from hold-up play by Paul Onuachu. Stephen Warnock comes very close to saying 'good touch for a big man...'

Scenes in Prague as Slavia equalise against Barcelona. Left-back Jan Boril pops up in the Barca box for some reason and pokes home from Lukas Masopust's pass.

    It's fully deserved too.

  20. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 49 mins

    Genk 0-1 Liverpool

Genk fans now want a penalty for handball against Andrew Robertson but I think the ball hit the Scotland man on the back.
