  2. Ozil and Sokratis 'rested'published at 17:18 British Summer Time 19 September 2019

Eintracht Frankfurt v Arsenal (17:55 BST)

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has chosen to "rest" Mesut Ozil and Sokratis Papastathopoulos for tonight's match.

Ozil has played just 71 minutes of football this season, making his first start in Sunday's 2-2 draw at Watford.

The 30-year-old missed the start of the season after being targeted by carjackers and because of illness.

Greek defender Sokratis has played in every minute of the club's five domestic games.

"I decide which players can be best and also the players not and that is Sokratis and Mesut," said Emery.

Sulaimon Adelekan: I don't see Arsenal winning this match, not with this line up and I may be wrong but they should qualify from this group.

  5. Frankfurt familiar with English teamspublished at 17:13 British Summer Time 19 September 2019

Eintracht Frankfurt v Arsenal (17:55 BST)

Arsenal face Eintracht Frankfurt for the first time but the German side are no strangers to English opposition or European competition.

Frankfurt's past three meetings with English teams have all finished level. They drew 1-1 with Chelsea in both legs of last season's Europa League semi-final, before being eliminated on penalties.

They are also unbeaten in their past 16 home games (W12, D4) in European competition and their last defeat came against Palermo in the 2006-7 Uefa Cup.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have lost their past four away games in Europe against German sides, scoring twice and conceding 13 in the process.

But in Europe, Arsenal haven't been eliminated at the first group stage since the 1999-2000 Champions League.

  6. Man Utd early team newspublished at 17:11 British Summer Time 19 September 2019

Man Utd v Astana (20:00 BST)

    Manchester United

Manchester United's teenage striker Mason Greenwood will start tonight's game against Kazakh champions Astana at Old Trafford.

The 17-year-old has already made four substitute appearances in the Premier League this season.

England under-21 defender Axel Tuanzebe will also start, alongside reserve goalkeeper Sergio Romero and Brazilian midfielder Fred.

Jesse Lingard has recovered from illness so is also likely to be involved.

Welshman Daniel James misses out after picking up a knock against Leicester, while Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw are also injured.

  7. Wolves early team newspublished at 17:08 British Summer Time 19 September 2019

Wolves v Sporting Braga (20:00 BST)

    Wolves

Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has no injury worries with Ryan Bennett expected to be available after he missed the 5-2 home defeat by Chelsea in the Premier League last Saturday.

Winger Wilson Eduardo and defender Vitor Tormena could be absent for Braga, who finished fourth in Portugal's Primeira Liga last term.

Braga coach Ricardo Sa Pinto has no other major injury concerns although his side have - like Wolves - made a disappointing start domestically, sitting a point above the relegation zone after one win in their opening five games.

  9. Team news - seven changes for Arsenalpublished at 17:00 British Summer Time 19 September 2019

Eintracht Frankfurt v Arsenal (17:55 BST)

Arsenal make seven changes from Sunday's draw at Watford with Unai Emery opting for a mix of youth and experience.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Granit Xhaka, Sead Kolasinac and David Luiz keep their places but there are also starts for 18-year-old winger Bukayo Saka, 19-year-old Emile Smith Rowe and 20-year-old Joe Willock.

Arsenal XI: Martinez, Chambers, Mustafi, Luiz, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Torreira, Willock, Smith Rowe, Aubameyang, Saka.

Subs: Leno (GK), Ceballos, Maitland Niles, Pepe, Nelson, Guendouzi, Martinelli.

    Arsenal

Eintracht Frankfurt lost strikers Sebastien Haller and Luka Jovic to West Ham and Real Madrid this summer so Andre Silva, on loan from AC Milan, could take up the attacking threat.

Bas Dost, a man linked with a Premier League move or two in his time, will lead the line.

Eintracht XI: Trapp, Sow, Dost, Kostic, Hinteregger, Kamada, Abraham, Hasebe, Da Costa, Kohr, Silva.

Subs: Ronnow (GK), N'Dicka, Falette, Fernandes, Joveljic, Chandler, Paciencia.

European football continues tonight as three English teams get their Europa League group-stage campaigns under way.

Wolves have already played six qualifying matches and take on Portuguese side Sporting Braga in their first main-stage match in Europe since 1980.

That kicks off at 20:00 BST, along with Manchester United's opener against Kazakh champions Astana - both at home.

But it's last season's runners-up Arsenal who open proceedings. They are in Germany to take on 2018-19 semi-finalists Eintracht Frankfurt.

    Kick-off is at 17:55 BST.
