Frankfurt's fans stand up in every corner of the stadium to protest. It really is an incredible atmosphere! They are booing every single decision against their team.

Oh no! Arsenal finally get a chance and it's created by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. He beats the defender on the left and pings it into the box where Joe Willock is waiting.

The 20-year-old skews it over the bar! That all came from a failed Frankfurt attack too.

It's been a really rough first half for Calum Chambers so far. The Arsenal defender (touchmap on the right) has spent most of it chasing the shadow of Filip Kostic (touchmap on the left).

Filip Kostic gets the better of Calum Chambers yet again and races into the box. He hits it low but Martinez palms it away superbly.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang tries to make something happen. He gains a yard to whip a shot in from just outside the box but the angle was always going to be tight.

Filip Kostic is causing all kinds of problems. He drills a low ball in from the left and it comes to Bas Dost, who curls it wide.

Calum Chambers and Emile Smith Rowe are struggling a little on Kostic' flank!

Arsenal survive a couple of Frankfurt corners. They are really having to defend here. Not the most settling of starts...

Joe Wedgwood: Actually really like Xhaka. Poor discipline yes but positive with ball, seldom plays backwards and never shirks responsibility. Not everyone can be KDB.

Andre Silva drives through the centre and slips it left to Filip Kostic. The dangerous Frankfurt forward gets within six yards of the goal but smacks his shot into the side-netting.

What a miss!

There was plenty of initial concern from the referee and Arsenal's medical staff but he's hobbled back onto the pitch.

Bukayo Saka tries to link-up with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but the pass is intercepted. Saka wins it back immediately and plays a through-ball into the box for Lucas Torreira.

Frankfurt's keeper rushes out and gets there first but Torreira has hurt himself jumping over him.

Djibril Sow gifts the ball to Bukayo Saka and it's a two-on-two scenario in the Frankfurt half. The Arsenal youngster holds onto the ball too long and misses the run of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the left.

Aubameyang sighs but turns and applauds Saka encouragingly.
