England just need to keep the tempo and keep the ball. Jordan Henderson made a great run earlier and I'd like to see him do more of that.

CSKA Moscow midfielder Arnor Sigurdsson has given Iceland the lead against Andorra.

Elsewhere in that group France are controlling the game against Turkey but it's still goalless at the moment.

All of that means no-one is going to qualify from Group H tonight as things stand.

  3. CLOSE!published at 20:25 British Summer Time 14 October 2019

    Bulgaria 0-3 England

At the other end, Marcus Rashford gets in behind from Jordan Henderson's pass and brings the ball down, but laces a strike over the bar.

    Bulgaria 0-3 England

This is where England need to improve.

Kieran Trippier has the ball at his feet in the box and instead of hacking it up field, tries to chip it to a team-mate and gives it away.

Petar Zanev is the man to collect is, cutting onto his right foot but blazing a shot over.

Whatever is going on off the field, England are very much keeping their cool on it.

In England's group, Kosovo have gone 2-0 up against Montenegro through Fenerbahce's striker Vedat Muriqi.

As it stands, England will not be qualifying for Euro 2020 tonight.

England defender Tyrone Mings appeared to glance over his shoulder and look towards the crowd after making a pass and within minutes the game was stopped.

The Bulgaria fans have not taken the threat of abandonment well but the warning was clear.

This was the big fear in the build up and sadly it has come to pass.

England are in control of this game but sadly off the field events will overshadow the game now.

It is a great ball out from Kieran Trippier. I am really happy Ross Barkley is getting his goals. They say midfielders need to get on the scoresheet and he has got his two goals.

Lfcway: Fifa protocol 1 executed. This is truly awful. Sad sad situation.

Josh: Got to give the English fans credit for drowning out the nastiness with a cracking rendition of God save the Queen.

GOAL - Bulgaria 0-3 Englandpublished at 20:17 British Summer Time 14 October 2019

    Ross Barkley (32 mins)

    Three, boom.

Kieran Trippier feeds Harry Kane pulling out wide and the skipper turns provider, curling a cross into the box for Ross Barkley to head in his second from the penalty spot.

    England in total control.

    Ukraine 2-0 Portugal

Oh dear! Things are not going well for Portugal at all as Ukraine add a second. This time a cross from left is behind the Portugal defence and West Ham's Andriy Yarmolenko sweeps in from close range.

    Andriy Shevchenko's side are flying.

  13. What is Uefa's three-step protocol?published at 20:16 British Summer Time 14 October 2019

    Bulgaria 0-2 England

Uefa's three-step protocol for dealing with racism at matches is as follows:

    1. The referee will speak to the stadium announcer and demand the halting of racist behaviour.
    2. If it continues, the referee can take the players off the field into the dressing rooms for a period of time and the stadium announcer will make another address.
    3. If it still continues, the match will be abandoned.

I would say that was step one of Uefa's protocol in action.

We think it is Raheem Sterling who was the subject of calls to our right. The England fans are reacting and applauding. I see a man near the front of the stand who is gesturing angrily. That looked like a right wing gesture he was making. He was wearing a hat and was in the second row. The announcement has been made and it said the game would be stopped if there is any more racist abuse. There are some home fans who are not happy with this. The England fans start singing the anthem.

Obviously we are conscious here of the protocol that might have to be used if there are any racist comments used. The first thing will be an announcement on the speaker.

There are two people down in suits talking to each other on the touchline.

There is now a message from the stadium announcer.

He has the game will be suspended again or abandoned if certain crowd chants continue.

He ends by saying, "say no to racism".

That's a little bit of frustration. They just can't get the ball off England at the moment. The defender saw his chance and just took Raheem Sterling out.
