Tom Lawrence lays the ball off to Dan James, who blasts in a 25-yard shot. It hits an Azerbaijan head and goes out for a corner.
Wales 1-0 Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan's first attack in a while as Mahir Emreli cuts in and has a shot blocked.
Now it's good play by Ethan Ampadu to win the ball back for Wales.
Wales 1-0 Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan keeper Salahat Agayev just about gets enough onto a punch from a left-wing Dab James Wales cross. The hosts could do with a second to ease any potential nerves later on.
Kevin Wimmer's career hasn't really kicked on, has it? On loan from Stoke to Belgian side Mouscron this season.

Wales 1-0 Azerbaijan
Dan James whips a dangerous ball across the six-yard box but it runs all the way through to Gareth Bale at the back post. Are Wales missing a 'proper striker'? Somebody should probably have been there.
Wales 1-0 Azerbaijan
Another good run by Gareth Bale, who looks much more like himself, but he eventually loses the ball after taking on about four defenders.
Nick Hancock's Football Nightmares was EVERYTHING.

That is the kind of goal you'd find on a football bloopers DVD at the bottom of a pile in a charity shop, probably presented by Danny Dyer or Nick Hancock.
Wales 1-0 Azerbaijan
Gareth Bale tries a long ranger which flies into the arms of the goalkeeper. Bet Bale wishes Pavlo Pashayev had got a touch there.

It’s a bit fortuitous! Gareth Bale looking to shoot, loops it in the air and then the ball hits Pashayev in his back. I think he was surprised the ball was looped in the air. Maybe that’s the luck we needed.
Wales 1-0 Azerbaijan
Wales winger Dan James wants a penalty as he goes down easily following Gara Garayev contact. That would have been harsh.
Wales 1-0 Azerbaijan
Pavlo Pashayev won two caps for Ukraine in 2009. Wonder if Azerbaijan are wishing he had stayed with them now.
Pavlo Pashayev own goal
Absolute lols here. Horrible own goal.
Gareth Bale spins about 25 yards out and shoots. The shot takes a huge deflection and loops up into the air.
Goalkeeper Salahat Agayev comes off his line to catch the ball but Pavlo Pashayev, who barely seems to be watching proceedings, lets the ball his shoulder and it flies into the unguarded net.
Wales 0-0 Azerbaijan
Decent spell for Wales, although Neil Taylor's pass to Dan James down the left is poor. But Ryan Giggs' side are putting together a decent spell of possession.
Wales 0-0 Azerbaijan
Both sets of players keep on giving away possession. Poor.
Wales 0-0 Azerbaijan

It's all been a bit scrappy so far and perhaps that stamp from Harry Wilson was a sign that Wales are getting a little frustrated.
The home fans are certainly on edge. Not the start they wanted, or expected.
Germany 1-0 Netherlands
Half-chance for the Netherlands but Matthijs de Ligt heads well wide from a corner.
Wales 0-0 Azerbaijan
Harry Wilson's corner is hacked away. Is this a classic game for the ages? No.
