I don't think she'll have set a target, it's more about performance. Of course if they do put in the performance and play to their capabilities Shelley will be confident of them scoring enough goals.

Again Kim Little has made a great run inside the box. We've given the goalkeeper a lot of credit tonight but she should really come out and smother it. Instead she's obviously not managed to catch it and it's an easy finish for Kim.

    Kim Little

Well now she's just showing off. A hat-trick for Kim Little after some great short passing play from Chloe Arthur and Claire Emslie.

Cyprus goalkeeper Eleni Ttakka should've done better to hold on to the ball lying on the ground after Little's first attempt, but the impressive midfielder doesn't mess around to knock in a gift like that.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 54 mins

    Scotland 4-0 Cyprus

The Scots are showing no mercy now, Claire Emslie again delivering a great ball in from the left and Caroline Weir is unlucky not to make it five as Cypriot goalkeeper Eleni Ttakka denies the Manchester City player with a sprawling save.

She's in the box, she's been there numerous times already. It hadn't gone her way so far, but she's in the right place at the right time. That sums Jane Ross up, she never stops working.

  8. GOAL Scotland 4-0 Cypruspublished at 51 mins

    Jane Ross

Kirsty Smith out on the right finds space and sends the ball across to Claire Emslie on the opposite flank. The Orlando Pride winger fires it across goal to Jane Ross who is in the right place to poke in the goal she's been after.

The striker almost takes a knee as she makes sure not to miss this time and make it four for her country.

We've had a lot of possession in the first half and we've missed a lot of chances and you just don't know at the end of the campaign how vital that might be.

  10. CLOSE!published at 49 mins

    Scotland 3-0 Cyprus

Leanne Crichton sends the ball in to Jane Ross, who turns under pressure from the Cypriot defence and fires the ball just wide of the top corner.

  11. 'Team we can be proud of'published at 20:43 British Summer Time 30 August 2019

    Scotland 3-0 Cyprus

Speaking on Sportsound, Scotland's record goalscorer, Julie Fleeting, says we have a "national team we can be proud of, they've given us a lot to cheer about in recent years".

Tonight, Scotland look every bit the team who headed off well prepared and full of optimism for this summer's World Cup in France.

Now if they can just tidy up some of the final third play and add some more goals please.

  12. Back under way at Easter Roadpublished at 46 mins

    Scotland 3-0 Cyprus

Scotland looked comfortable in the first half, save the odd slack pass which Cyprus failed to make the most of.

Plenty of exciting, attacking play which head coach Shelley Kerr will be happy about.

Given the confidence on show in the first '45, I'm expecting at least a couple more goals in this half.

Don't prove me wrong Scotland, please.

I didn't expect a World Cup hangover. In the first half it's been a largely positive performance. I've been really delighted by the start they've made.

  14. 'Rolls Royce player' misses outpublished at 20:37 British Summer Time 30 August 2019

    HT: Scotland 3-0 Cyprus

Spare a thought for Hibernian midfielder Amy Muir – soon after getting the nod from Shelley Kerr to join the senior national side in camp this week, she gets injured and has to withdraw.

The Scotland U19 captain was drafted in along with team-mate Jamie-Lee Napier but was hurt in Sunday’s 7-1 derby win over Hearts in the Scottish Cup.

No doubt she will be back though, as Hibs head coach Grant Scott describes the pair as “Rolls Royce players”.

  15. Odds in Scotland's favour?published at 20:31 British Summer Time 30 August 2019

    HT: Scotland 3-0 Cyprus

Slightly strange one of our national teams going in as top seeds in a group, so a lot to live up to for our little nation.

It's all going well so far in this opener against Cyprus.

Later in the year they'll face Albania - remember, Scotland’s previous encounter with them was their France 2019 qualifying victory last September.

Then next year there will be home and away ties with Finland and Portugal.

Lots to look forward to as Scotland bid to qualify for back-to-back major tournaments.

Scotland star Kim Little came to prominence during her two-year spell at Hibs before her first move to Arsenal in 2008 and it certainly looks like she is enjoying her run out on the Easter Road turf.

Scotland are dominating this tie at Easter Road tonight, giving Cyprus little chance to get a look in.

Give us a wee thumbs up, or down. Go on....

  18. HALF-TIME Scotland 3-0 Cypruspublished at 45 mins

So far, so easy for Scotland.

Claire Emslie got the ball rolling with a header on 10 minutes and Kim Little has added two fine finishes in a one-sided contest.

  19. Cyprus shuffling the deckpublished at 20:23 British Summer Time 30 August 2019

    Scotland 3-0 Cyprus

A series of mistakes in the Cypriot defence as the ball bounces about the box before Konstantina Pafti clears the danger.

The visitors could be panicking before the halfway stage, as they make a change bringing Ivana Dragomirova Taneva on for Chara Charalambous.

Glad I'm not doing the radio commentary tonight.

A great run and finish. You can see the difference when you have that bit of composure, and Kim Little buried it in the corner.
