  3. World Cup debut ends in heartachepublished at 19:18 British Summer Time 30 August 2019

    Scotland v Cyprus (19:35)

Of course, this is Scotland's first outing since the World Cup and who could forget the agony of the last game in France this summer?

Needing a win to progress to the last 16 after defeats to England and Japan, Shelley Kerr's side were leading Argentina 3-0 after 69 minutes but then it all went horribly, horribly wrong.

The South Americans struck twice before the 80-minute mark and then equalised from a twice-taken VAR-awarded penalty in stoppage-time as jaws dropped in disbelief across the country.

Kerr bemoaned "appalling" decisions from the officials but there's no getting away from the fact that throwing away such a comfortable lead was a bitterly disappointing way for a World Cup debut campaign to end.
