I have been really impressed with Celtic's pressing game. They have hunted in packs and made it very difficult for Rangers to build from the back

That's been rotten. If that was St Mirren against Hamilton, you would not think anything of it. If you like football, that is not the game for you. There has been no football played

  5. HALF-TIME Rangers 0-1 Celticpublished at 45+4 mins

The first half has whizzed by in a blur of fouls and feisty challenges and it's Celtic who have the advantage thanks to the predatory skills of Odsonne Edouard, who tucked away the game's only shot on target.

Neither side can keep the ball for more than a few seconds. It's all very untidy right now as half time approaches.

Rangers are very narrow and Celtic's forwards are pressing with real aggression.

Aribo has changed his position, moving right on top of Scott Brown. I would have thought Scott Arfield would have moved there as he was so effective there in the last Old Firm game

    Rangers 0-1 Celtic

    Alasdair Lamont

That Edouard goal was the game's first shot on target, which tells you much about the tense nature of the match until that Celtic breakthrough. The visitors had probably edged the opening stages, but the goal came about because of Connor Goldson's slack pass.

Mikey Johnston capitalised to slip a lovely ball through to Edouard and the Frenchman showed great composure to slide the ball under Allan McGregor.

I can't believe that Bobby Madden hasn't taken action. It's not a red card, but it is certainly a yellow. Maybe that goes back to the Callum McGregor, where he got away with a booking early on

Ryan Jack clatters into Boli Bolingoli with his studs showing. Both men were fully committed to a sliding challenge in the middle of the park and the Celtic man is slowly getting back to his feet.

Welcome to the Old Firm derby.

Still, no cards shown by referee Bobby Madden.

One chance and what a finish - so calm, so collected from Edouard. But what a mistake from Goldson

A Connor Goldson pass out of defence is intercepted and Mikey Johnston slips a pass through for Odsonne Edouard. The big striker races away to slot the ball beyond Allan McGregor. Cool as you like.

Jermain Defoe is a fraction offside as he gathers a smart pass from Steven Davis and turns to shoot straight at Fraser Forster. That means we're still waiting for a meaningful effort on goal.

Ryan Christie chopped down by Glen Kamara. Still, Bobby Madden keeps his cards in his pocket. Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard is over the free kick... Over the wall, but well wide.

A glimpse of goal for Odsonne Edouard as he picks up a flick from Ryan Christie. The Celtic striker takes a couple of steps with the ball and is then brought to a shuddering halt by a crunching challenge from Connor Goldson near the edge of the penalty box.

I don't think Aribo has started well. It is a new position for him and he doesn't look comfortable. Like Aribo, Ryan Christie is so important to Celtic but has not been in the game much

Hatem Elhamed is back up on his feet. No need for a Terry Butcher bandage. Back to the 100mph stuff, with Scott Brown clipping the heels of Glen Kamara.
