And now a great chance for Northern Ireland! I'm not sure how left-back Demi Vance ends up in the centre-forward's position but her finish shows that it wasn't the best call.

Sliced, and over the bar. All opening up now.

Phil Neville: 'My focus is England' - Phil Neville dismisses USA rumour

And on the subject of England, boss Phil Neville was asked about a reported link to the USA job.

"There has been no approach. My focus is on us winning a gold medal at the Olympics," he said.

"It is flattering because it means you are doing a good job but my focus is England. I love this job and we have a big job to do. We can see from the last two games that the work is still in progress and we have a long way to go."

  17. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Wales 1-1 Northern Ireland

Patient build-up from the visitors, with goalscorer Simone Magill at the heart of it. No end product to speak of though.

  18. Postpublished at 31 mins

    Wales 1-1 Northern Ireland

Ebb and flow, both sides look dangerous on the ball. Kayleigh Green almost plays through for Wales but Sarah McFadden makes a good challenge.

  19. Emma Jones scores by accidentpublished at 19:33 British Summer Time 3 September 2019

    Wales 1-1 Northern Ireland

    Michael Pearlman
BBC Sport Wales at Rodney Parade

Emma Jones opened her account for Wales in the Faroe Islands with a beautiful left foot finish, a goal of artistry and poise.

Her second goal, let's be honest, she knew nothing about as Angharad James' speculative effort hit her and totally wrong-footed the goalkeeper.

Wales have been poor, but that's a huge slice of luck to get them back into the game. All to play for in Newport.
