Dorrans, 32, has been plagued by injury since his switch from Norwich City in July 2017.
Coventry have signed Bristol City midfielder Liam Walsh on a season-long loan, subject to English Football League approval.
The 21-year-old has scored one goal in 19 appearances since his move from hometown club Everton, where he failed to make a first-team appearance.
Brentford striker Marcus Forss has joined AFC Wimbledon on loan until the end of the season, having signed a new four-year contract with the Bees.
The 20-year-old Finn has made three appearances this season, scoring once in a Carabao Cup tie with Cambridge.
League Two Swindon Town have signed Swansea goalkeeper Steven Benda on loan for the rest of the season.
The German, 20, is yet to play a full senior game but has been a regular in Premier League 2 and also played in the Under-21s' EFL Trophy campaign.

Oldham have re-signed winger Filipe Morais on a season-long loan deal from Crawley.
Ex-Chelsea player Morais, 33, previously had a two-year spell at Boundary Park between 2010 and 2012, scoring eight goals in 68 games.

Real Madrid have signed goalkeeper Alphonse Areola from Paris St-Germain on a season-long loan deal.
The 26-year-old will compete with Thibaut Courtois for the number one shirt at the Bernabeu.
Costa Rican keeper Keylor Navas has gone the other way, signing a four-year deal with the Ligue 1 champion.
It is the French side's second goalkeeper signing of the day having also acquired Sergio Rico from Sevilla.
Fleetwood Town have signed centre-back Jimmy Dunne on loan from Burnley for the rest of the League One season.
The 21-year-old spent the second half of last term on loan in the third tier with Sunderland, having previously played 14 times in a spell at Hearts.
Dunne is yet to play a first-team game for Burnley but has featured for Republic of Ireland's Under-21 side.

The 22-year-old - who spent last season on loan at Ibrox - will undergo a medical before completing a £7m move.
Bolton have signed experienced Sheffield United defender Jake Wright, subject to clearance.
The Keighley-born central defender, 33, joins Wanderers on loan until January.

The 35-year-old former Rangers defender parted company with Kilmarnock earlier today but it looks like he could be on his way to Paisley.
Broadfoot played for St Mirren from 2002 to 2007 before joining Rangers.

Donervon Daniels has joined Doncaster Rovers on loan until January 2020 having signed for Luton Town on a permanent basis earlier today.
Rovers are still hopeful of adding a striker to replace John Marquis, who moved to Portsmouth in July.

Mackail-Smith - a former Scotland international - has scored 162 league goals during his 15-year career.
Crawley Town have signed defender Jamie Sendles-White on a one-year deal.
The 25-year-old started his career with QPR and also had spells with Hamilton, Swindon, Leyton Orient and Torquay.

Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic has joined Azerbaijani side Qarabag on loan until January.
The 32-year-old joins the league champions just before the end of the European transfer window.
Bosnia international Begovic had slipped to fourth choice at the Cherries behind Aaron Ramsdale, Artur Boruc and Mark Travers.

Kilmarnock are working on trying to bring Jack Hendry and Calvin Miller to Rugby Park from Celtic.
Hendry signed for the champions from Dundee in January 2018, but the 24 year old Scotland international has struggled for game time of late.
Miller, 21, can play at left back or on the wing and has spent time on loan at both Dundee and Ayr United.
Meanwhile talks continue with Celtic keen on signing Kilmarnock left back Greg Taylor.
Shrewsbury have signed (another) striker – Jason Cummings from Nottingham Forest on a two-year deal.
