  6. £7million needed to seal Kent dealpublished at 14:16 British Summer Time 2 September 2019

Rangers and Liverpool continue talks over winger

    Jonathan Sutherland
    BBC Sport Scotland

The mood music this summer had been that Liverpool's Ryan Kent would simply be too expensive for Rangers in terms of a permanent deal, but that situation appears to have changed.

For the moment talks continue between the clubs for over a permanent deal for the winger who made a big impact on loan at Ibrox last season. I understand £7million is how much Rangers will need to pay to bring Kent north of the border.

It would be a big signing for Steven Gerrard's side who yesterday lost the Old Firm Derby with Celtic 2-0 at Ibrox.
