Port Vale v Plymouth (15:00 BST)

He's only been in the job for a couple of months, but Plymouth Argyle manager Ryan Lowe seems to be fitting in well to his new surroundings.

The 40-year-old was filmed having a kickabout with some local kids earlier this week. Nice touch that.

Lowe's side visit Port Vale this afternoon as one of 12 fixtures in League Two.

A small slice of Championship action did in fact resume after the international break last night at Pride Park.

After a frenetic start to Derby's meeting with Cardiff, it ended in a frustrating night for both sides as neither could find a winner.

Scott Malone's early goal for the hosts was cancelled out by Robert Glatzel's penalty for Cardiff soon after.

But the 1-1 draw left both clubs still struggling to find form in the early stages of the season.

    Championship table

Some of my colleagues at BBC Sport towers think early-season tables are nonsense. Pointless looking at them now, they say.

Try telling that to fans of Swansea and Charlton. As expected, Fulham and West Brom are in the mix too.

Both Fulham and the Baggies will surely be pleased with their starts as they bid to return to the Premier League.

Albion have not lost in the league under new boss Slaven Bilic, although their visit to Craven Cottage is likely to be their toughest test so far.

Fulham are unbeaten in their last seven league games against the Baggies, but this is their first meeting since 2014.

It has a flip of a coin feeling about it. A classic Championship contest.
