There have been chances for both sides. Palace seem to be waiting to pounce on West Ham mistakes. They are ready to spring forward on the counter-attacks.

No real chances yet. Palace had a 30-second spell in West Ham's box but couldn't get a proper shot or cross in.

Everton

Everton boss Marco Silva, speaking to BBC Sport: "We showed we wanted to win the game. We had more than them we just didn't put the ball in the net. We should have scored in the first half from the corners we had and the chances we had.

"We are working hard in these moments, we need to be more brave and things will change for us.

"When you are in these types of moments the details are against you. What we showed last week and what we showed this week, since the first moment of the game we tried to win."

Either one of these sides will go into the top four with a win today. In fact West Ham only need a draw.

Leicester City

Leicester goalscorer James Madison for BBC Match of the Day: "I did [think the goal would be enough]. It's so tough to take when you concede so late. We are a really disappointed camp. We put everything into it and came away with nothing. We dominated large parts of it. We will lick out wounds and coming back stronger after the international break."

On the penalty: "Soft. It was very soft. I don't think the contact warrants the way Sadio Mane went down but you have to respect that the referee's decision stood in the end."

I swear Mark Noble has been playing for West Ham since the 1970s. Andriy Yarmolenko finds the midfielder, but his cross is blocked.

Everton

Everton boss Marco Silva speaking to Sky Sports: "When you lose a football game it is always like that [disappointing]. I think we did more than our opponent but they are always a difficult team to play against. First half we were the better team on the pitch.

"The game was balanced and after 55-60 minutes the second yellow made things more difficult on the pitch. From set pieces they were more brave than us. We have to be more brave.

"It is important to keep the faith in ourselves. Of course it is not easy for them [the fans].They want more and deserve more and it is up to us to stick together.

"The position we are in the table is not our image. The details are playing against us. Everything starts now, we have all the games to change but the next game at home we must win."

West Ham's Michail Antonio speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live on manager Manuel Pellegrini's influence: "He's telling us to think and play like we are a big team. When we come up against Chelsea, Arsenal, we're going for three points.

"The first thing he said was we concede too many goals, so for the first three weeks we worked on our defence. The attacking players were doing defensive headed clearances.

"In attack, he wanted free-playing players who feel free to go and express themselves. He wanted a holding player which he's found in Declan Rice who is up there as one of the best holding midfield players in the league.

"After Fernandinho and N'Golo Kante, I'd put him third. Against United, Rashford went through into the box and had about 10 yards on Dec - and I knew Dec would get the ball."

Liverpool

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on BBC Match of the Day: "It was a super game. We upped the tempo. The football we played was so important today. Leicester’s goal really stopped us but then we wanted to go forwards."

On the penalty: "The penalty was obviously a penalty. I am happy with how we played, we got the result, that is super. We knew it would probably happen, we knew we were going to fight for the win and we did. Without luck we cannot win the amount of games we have won but over the 90 minutes, we deserved it, we deserved the three points. James Milner held his nerve and that was superb."

Is Mohamed Salah OK? "How can Mo be OK? How did he [Hamza Choudhury] only get a yellow card? Mo limped off the pitch. That’s hard. It was done to slow Mo down and that is not OK."

I'm sure Prince William can afford his own tickets...

Aston Villa

Prince William was pictured watching the Aston Villa game with his son Prince George, the Duchess of Cambridge and Princess Charlotte.

Dean Smith said he will make sure they get a ticket for "every game if they need them" after today's result.

"I will put a call in to see if we can get them on the coach next game," Smith joked.

Watford

Watford manager Quique Sanchez Flores: "We tried to go for the win but Sheffield United are a very confident and physical side. We didn't concede in a long time, so that's a good thing.

"The players responded really well to the new system and we need to support them. They were a little nervous with decision making, everything is so fast, but I think we had opportunities that we can work on.

"A clean sheet is a good thing and we talked about it last week about not conceding. We're working hard together to get more confidence for the future.

"We have the break now with a lot of nationalities in our team, so we will come back and continue to work hard."

Leicester City

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers for Sky Sports: "I thought we deserved more than that. It’s cruel to concede so late. I am very proud of the team. We're playing against the European champions and we looked like we could get goals today.

"We were always a threat in the game, we had the confidence to pass the ball. We are showing our personality in how we played. Our notion was to perform well."

On Liverpool's late penalty: "We are bitterly disappointed to concede the penalty and it did not look clear and obvious to me. I think Sadio Mane made the most of the contact. I don’t think if it had not been given by the referee it would have been overturned by VAR. When the referee gives decisions it is hard for them to overrule it."
