Brighton will be looking to take advantage of Spurs' troubles today and Graham Potter could really do with a win.

The Seagulls haven't won in the league since beating Watford on the opening day - a victory that looks less and less impressive as Watford's struggles go on.

They're currently lingering a point above the early-season relegation zone.

Brighton have only taken three points from a possible 24 in their past eight home games in a run going back to March.

Here's a staggering stat for you that has passed me by a little.

Tottenham have not won away from home in the Premier League for almost NINE months.

They haven't taken three points on the road since 20 January at Fulham.

Tottenham looked to have gained themselves a bit of momentum after their patchy start to the season last week with a win over Southampton, but that evaporated in midweek against Bayern Munich.

I'm sure you know this by now but they were thrashed 7-2 by the German champions at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino says he's certain his players are still playing for him despite just three wins in 10.

The foundations are wobbling a little. Can Spurs calm things down today?

    Hello there.

After a good week in European competitions for some and a difficult one for others, the Premier League is back.

Tottenham and Brighton will be our first focus as Spurs look to respond to their 7-2 humbling against Bayern Munich.

Liverpool v Leicester is the standout game at 3pm, with Brendan Rodgers returning to Anfield for the first time, but there's plenty going on elsewhere too.

    Should be a good 'un.

It was the equivalent of an eagerly-anticipated week in the Med spoiled by a dodgy tummy from a rogue paella and a funny smell lingering around the swimming pool.

Mauricio Pochettino won't have had many worse weeks in Europe.

Tottenham will look to get things back on track on English shores today but things haven't been plain sailing there either...
