  1. Postpublished at 69 mins

    Scotland 0-3 Belgium

Stuart Armstrong has come on for Callum McGregor and gets involved straight away. He crosses for Matt Phillips, who heads it off target. It was a tad high for the West Brom man.

  2. 'It's a bitter lesson tonight'published at 21:08 British Summer Time 9 September 2019

    Scotland 0-3 Belgium

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Radio Scotland

It's a bitter lesson tonight. Even the Russia game too. Two dissapointing performances so far. I don't think Scotland are going to manage to resurrect this game. Even thought Belgium have taken their foot off the gas.

  3. Postpublished at 64 mins

    Scotland 0-3 Belgium

Another neat Scotland move comes to nothing when it reaches the box. This time Christie's through-ball for Stephen O'Donnell runs through to Courtois.

Belgium counter and David Marshall has to deny Kevin De Bruyne.

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 62 mins

    Scotland 0-3 Belgium

Scott McTominay goes in the book for a foul on Dries Mertens, which means he'll miss the trip to face Russia next.

I'm sure Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be chuffed.

  5. Postpublished at 61 mins

    Scotland 0-3 Belgium

Robert Snodgrass fires it over the bar. Disappointing.

  6. Postpublished at 60 mins

    Scotland 0-3 Belgium

Nice play by Ryan Christie, who's been lively tonight. He jinks away from Alderweireld. Free-kick on the edge of the box. Where's Leigh Griffiths when you need him?

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 58 mins

    Scotland 0-3 Belgium

Stephen O'Donnell is booked for diving as he rampaged into the box. He won't want to watch that one again...

  8. 'Good spell from Scotland'published at 20:57 British Summer Time 9 September 2019

    Scotland 0-3 Belgium

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Radio Scotland

    Quote Message

It's a good spell from Scotland. Belgium are again giving away possession with almost every pass.

  9. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Scotland 0-3 Belgium

This game feels very much like Scotland in a nutshell. Some very tidy players in midfield and down the flanks, but no goalscorer or penetration up top, and the defending has been woeful.

  10. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Scotland 0-3 Belgium

Scotland have a good spell of possession and Andy Robertson almost squeezes one in. A nice through ball finds the captain sprinting down the left, but his strike is blocked.

Matt Phillips then fires one aimlessly wide.

  11. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Scotland 0-3 Belgium

Dries Mertens dances into the box completely unopposed and curls one towards the top corner, which David Marshall pushes out for a corner.

  12. Postpublished at 46 mins

    Scotland 0-3 Belgium

Another bright start to a half by Scotland.

Callum McGregor fires one at Thibaut Courtois.

  13. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:47 British Summer Time 9 September 2019

    Scotland 0-3 Belgium

We're back underway. "Don't make it an embarrassing evening," pleads Willie Miller on Sportsound. Think we're already there....

  14. 'I don't think we've looked good defensively'published at 20:46 British Summer Time 9 September 2019

    Scotland 0-3 Belgium

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Radio Scotland

    Quote Message

You have to defend. I don't think we've looked good defensively. We've put them under pressure and tried the high press and worked hard but we're three goals down. That tells you something.

  15. Scottish defence 'an absolute disgrace'published at 20:44 British Summer Time 9 September 2019

    HT: Scotland 0-3 Belgium

    Tom English
    BBC Scotland's chief sports writer

    Quote Message

All three goals have been an absolute disgrace. The first was a total surrender of any defensive stability and organisation and discipline. A joke. How can you leave Kevin de Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku all alone? As a professional footbal team how could you do that?

Lawrelos: Just score 4 in the second half Scotland, it really is that simple.

    Morag: Nightmare.

  19. Clarke must avoid an embarrassmentpublished at 20:38 British Summer Time 9 September 2019

    HT: Scotland 0-3 Belgium

    Alasdair Lamont
    BBC Sport Scotland at Hampden

A few boos ring round the stadium as the referee brings the first half to an end but most probably acknowledge they are witnessing something special here. It perhaps hasn’t been vintage Belgium but they are still streets ahead of the Scots. Few would have expected this to be a contest but Steve Clarke has a job on his hands to make sure it doesn’t become an annihilation.

  20. 'I don't see anyone picking up De Bruyne'published at 20:36 British Summer Time 9 September 2019

    HT: Scotland 0-3 Belgium

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Radio Scotland

    Quote Message

We know Kevin de Bruyne has that quality but so far I don't see anyone doing anything about it. Nobody is getting close to him or picking him up. Or even knock him off his stride a little bit.
