A change for Manchester City as John Stones is given a first run out since last month's defeat at Norwich. He replaces David Silva.

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Man City

Another good save by Wayne Hennessey! This time denying his own team-mate as he keeps out Cheikhou Kouyaté's header from a City corner.

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Man City

That stirs Manchester City into action as a quick break ends with Gabriel Jesus' shot at the near post is pushed behind by Wayne Hennessey.

Jesus surely didn't see Kevin de Bruyne, because he was waiting unmarked in the box and would have had a tap in...

At the other end it has been a quiet night for Ederson but he is called into action for the first time as leaps out to push away Patrick van Aanholt's ball into the box.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 73 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Man City

What a fine game Wayne Hennessey is having - undoubtedly man of the match for me as he pulls off another important save, this time pushing over Bernardo Silva's goal-bound effort.

Ryan Williams: Where was the attempt to play the ball from Zaha? Anywhere else on the pitch and that’s a foul!

John Davies: Stone wall penalty. Pushed him over. The Premier League need to sort it out. They are happy to overturn linesman but not a referee who are getting decisions wrong week in week out. How are we getting this so wrong yet other countries right!

  10. Postpublished at 71 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Man City

Gabriel Jesus has been very lively. He's had seven shots in this game so far, the first time he's ever had as many in a Premier League game.

Looks like Crystal Palace are considering a change. Feels like they certainly need one.

  11. Postpublished at 68 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Man City

But City can turn on the style at any moment as Gabriel Jesus plays a quick one two on the edge of the Crystal Palace box before attempting to bend a shot into the far corner but Wayne Hennessey dives across to deal with the danger.

  12. Postpublished at 66 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Man City

Manchester City are once again being patient in building their attacks. There isn't a sense that they are desperate to pick up a high-scoring win here. It is a much more conservative approach compared to some games this season.

  13. 'That is a penalty'published at 18:53 British Summer Time 19 October 2019

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Man City

    Steve Brown
Former Charlton Athletic defender on BBC Radio London

For me that looks like a penalty. From the angle that we have, it looked theatrical but when you put both hands on an opponent then it is a penalty. That's as clear and obvious penalty as you will see. What is the point of having VAR?

  14. VAR

Video Assistant Referee - no penaltypublished at 63 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Man City

I thought they were going to give it for a second there but, after a 30 second wait or so, VAR backs up the referee's decision to not award a penalty.

It was clumsy stuff from Zaha.

  16. Postpublished at 60 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Man City

All very routine for Manchester City at the moment, Palace are not even looking like posing a threat on the counter.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 57 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Man City

Palace make their first change of the game as Jeffrey Schlupp makes way for Andros Townsend.

Palace have a good record at Selhurst Park this season but it is going to take something for them to avoid a first home defeat of the campaign.

  18. 'City are not in a rush'published at 18:44 British Summer Time 19 October 2019

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Man City

    Steve Brown
Former Charlton Athletic defender on BBC Radio London

Raheem Stirling clearly wants to get a ball. I just think he is one of those players who has been training well with Pep Guardiola and he is in the form of his life. You see that because he doesn't go for the shots you expect. City are not in a rush to score the third, they are happy to get one of the Crystal Palace players to break formation. They can afford to do that with a 2-0 lead.

  19. Postpublished at 55 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Man City

David Silva wins possession of Wilfried Zaha with a well-timed tackle before feeding the ball to Raheem Sterling but his shot is the wrong side of goal.

  20. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Man City

Good persistence by Gabriel Jesus as he evades the feet of a couple of Crystal Palace players on the edge of the box before picking out Raheem Sterling, but the forward's shot just catches the outside of the post.
