Everton v West Ham (12:30 BST)

    West Ham United

West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini: "I think that we are where we deserve to be. I am very pleased with the style of football.

"We scored a beautiful goal against Crystal Palace, we are making chances and trying to score, we play the most amount of time in the opposite half, we have more shots on target.

"The fans deserve to have our style of football and we will not change that whether we are winning or losing."

  2. 'We know what to expect'published at 11:25 British Summer Time 19 October 2019

Everton v West Ham (12:30 BST)

    Everton

Everton manager Marco Silva: "Their [West Ham's] away form is really good, we know what we expect. It's up to us to perform better than the last games to achieve a good result. It will be a game for us to express ourselves on the pitch.

"We are together in this situation. One month ago, before the first international break, we were in sixth position and in a good moment. I am the first one to take responsibility but it is good to see the players take it as well."

  3. Leicester family to honour Vichaipublished at 11:23 British Summer Time 19 October 2019

It is fitting, perhaps, that this match should be chosen to mark the anniversary of the darkest day in Leicester City's history.

For it was against Burnley nearly 12 months ago that the King Power Stadium paid its heartfelt and emotional tribute to owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and the four others who died alongside him in a helicopter crash outside the stadium.

A year on from the tragedy, the memories of what Khun Vichai did for Leicester - and not just the club, but the city as a whole - remain deeply and profoundly cherished.

He was the man who helped them to dream the impossible dream - and, once again, the Leicester City family will come together to honour him.

Man Utd v Liverpool (Sun, 16:30 BST)

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has a groin problem and is not expected to play, while midfielder Paul Pogba is out with an ankle injury.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw face fitness tests, with Jesse Lingard, Phil Jones, Diogo Dalot and Mason Greenwood also doubts.

Liverpool will monitor goalkeeper Alisson, who could return after two months out with a calf problem.

Centre-back Joel Matip has missed the last two games but may be fit to play.

The Reds are also hopeful Mohamed Salah will feature despite the ankle injury he suffered against Leicester.

  6. 'Everyone wants to be on top'published at 11:11 British Summer Time 19 October 2019

Man Utd v Liverpool (Sun, 16:30 BST)

An interview with Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk is on today's Football Focus on BBC One:

"It's very early in the season so you can’t think too far ahead," he said about Manchester City's defeat by Wolves.

"We know how big the game is on Sunday. We know how much it means to the fans, but also to us. We want to perform and win. We will try to do everything possible to do that.

"Manchester United know they’re not in the best shape they want to be in. Our task is just to play our game and try to score goals and keep a clean sheet.

"We’ve learned last season that we don’t need to look at the table for a long time. Everyone wants to be on top of the league but anything can change. It’s going to be very tough."

  7. How things standpublished at 11:08 British Summer Time 19 October 2019

Almost every team in the league is in action today but notable absentees Manchester United and Liverpool go head-to-head in Sunday's 16:30 kick-off at Old Trafford.

Sheffield United host Arsenal in the final match on Monday evening (20:00 kick-off).

That means second-placed Manchester City will have an opportunity to shorten Liverpool's lead at the top of the table to five points with victory over Crystal Palace this evening.

And depending on results today, Manchester United could find themselves going into that game sitting in the relegation zone...
