  1. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    Aston Villa 1-0 Wolves

Villa are the latest team to have a penalty appeal waved away - Trezeguet the man to get no joy.

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Liverpool defender on Radio 5 Live

It's a cracking game. I've loved it. To see Arsenal respect the competition and put a good team out, I think they did that because they saw the team Liverpool put out against MK Dons. Mesut Ozil has stood out. He's been clever, he's been a joy to watch.

  3. Postpublished at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

Good spell this for the men in red. Can they find the breakthrough?

  4. CLOSE!published at 20:18 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    Chelsea 0-0 Manchester United

And now Scott McTominay sweeps a shot into the side-netting from the edge of the area. Goal machine.

Origi should bury it. It's the second header in a couple of minutes that should be scored.

  8. CLOSE!published at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    Liverpool 2-3 Arsenal

Chance for a hat-trick! Gabriel Martinelli is left with a free header but can't time his jump properly and wastes it, before Harvey Elliott shows his class again with a great cross to find Divock Origi, and he heads over.

    Chances at either end.

  9. 'Ozil has been great to watch'published at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Liverpool defender on Radio 5 Live

I've enjoyed Mesut Ozil's performance so far tonight. He's been great to watch.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

Chelsea have had all of the ball in a half of little action so far - Scott McTominay then flies into a challenge and is righfully booked.

How does "catching his toe" make him fall over for that penalty?!

  12. Postpublished at 20:15 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    Liverpool 2-3 Arsenal

It looked like less of a penalty that the shout seconds before, if you're asking me.

  13. 'It was a penalty'published at 20:15 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Liverpool defender on Radio 5 Live

Harvey Elliott was expecting the challenge, he wants there to be contact. For me it was a penalty. It looked straight away that it was a penalty. When you look at the replays it looks clear that he touches his ankle.

  14. goal

GOAL - Aston Villa 1-0 Wolvespublished at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    Anwar El Ghazi (29 mins)

Villa have the breakthrough! John Ruddy gets a hand to the shot from Anwar El Ghazi but it's too much to handle and the ball squirms into the back of the net.

  15. Postpublished at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

Ex-Liverpool defender on Radio 5 Live

I think he catches him ever so slightly. You can see why Andre Marriner has given it - the angle he's looking at it it looks like a penalty.

  16. goal

GOAL - Liverpool 2-3 Arsenalpublished at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    James Milner (Pen 43 mins)

James Milner slots it into the bottom corner. As you'd expect.

  17. PENALTY LIVERPOOL!published at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    Liverpool 1-3 Arsenal

And now we do have a penalty! Harvey Elliott goes down under very minimal contact...

  18. Postpublished at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Liverpool defender on Radio 5 Live

I think if VAR is in action then we've got a penalty for that. It's a clear penalty.

  19. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    Liverpool 1-3 Arsenal

Rhian Brewster's cross/shot hits the hand of Hector Bellerin - VAR would be interested...

This is utter tripe from this Liverpool team tonight. They're not doing much to say pick me boss anytime soon in the big matches.

    David Ashworth

Klopp never cared for this competition. Arsenal kids are levels above Liverpool's.

    The Goose

This is why Liverpool won't win the league. Make 11 changes and they look like a bottom half side, whereas if City do so it's a top three team. Huge drop off.
