  2. 'There's so many games to go'published at 15:57 British Summer Time 26 October 2019

FT: Man City 3-0 Aston Villa

    Manchester City

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne speaking to Match of the Day: "I thought we lacked a bit of intensity in the first half, it was going a little bit too slow. We weren’t set up right and gave them too many counter attacks. At half time we adjusted a little bit and the second half we performed well."

On the second goal: “I put a cross into a dangerous area, David Silva said he touched it. I’ve no idea but if he felt he touched it they can give it to him."

On narrowing the gap to leaders Liverpool: “There’s so many games to go, even Champions League and cup games in between. It’s such a hard season. All 20 teams have a lot of quality so it is not a given that we will win. We just try to do our best, that’s three victories in a row now and we just keep going on Tuesday."

If you missed it earlier, Manchester City beat Aston Villa 3-0 to shorten the gap on Liverpool to just three points, though Jurgen Klopp's side have a game in hand when they host Tottenham in tomorrow's match at Anfield.

Here's some reaction from that win for City...

  4. Who could be today’s Billy Hamilton?published at 15:54 British Summer Time 26 October 2019

    Burnley v Chelsea (17:30 BST)

    Emlyn Begley
    BBC Sport at Turf Moor

None of the omens are in Burnley’s favour.

The Clarets’ last home win against Chelsea was a 3-0 success in April 1983 in the old Second Division, with Billy Hamilton scoring twice.

They have only beaten Chelsea once in their 10 Premier League meetings – at Stamford Bridge in August 2017.

And they have only beaten one ‘big six’ opponent in their last 25 attempts, 2-1 against Spurs in February.

“We’ve been down this road long enough where we’ve played teams that are on good runs and played teams who are high-level performers,” says Clarets boss Sean Dyche.

“We have taken those challenges on numerous occasions and we have to do that again. We’ve got to play at the top of our levels to beat good sides.”

    Brighton 1-1 Everton

    Alan Pardew
Former Southampton and West Ham manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

Both managers will be pleased, it has been an even first-half.

Brighton started the fastest and caused Everton problems, but after they equalised Everton definitely upped the pace and they looked the superior team - especially with Richarlison exploiting Brighton’s lack of pace.

Enda Stevens on his favoured left foot has a really good chance to find the net with Roberto on the floor.

He really should have put his side in front.
