  11. 'Super Jack' yet to get a sight of goalpublished at 13:03 British Summer Time 26 October 2019

    Man City 0-0 Aston Villa

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Etihad Stadium

City's Kevin de Bruyne is the only player to have created more Premier League chances than Jack Grealish this season (27-24 including two for De Bruyne today), but we've not seen much of Villa's main man so far.

Grealish has had several touches in the City half but only managed one moment of note, a dashing run down the right that ended with a very hopeful cross into an empty penalty area.

That was still enough for the Villa fans to give us the first chant of 'Super Jack' of the afternoon. Will there be more?

    Man City 0-0 Aston Villa

    Michael Brown

Manchester City are trying but they just can’t find that cutting pass.

    Normally they are slicker.

Aston Villa are defending well but it needs to be quicker from City.

So far, so good for Villa.

They're solid in defence and attacking at pace on the counter.

City have been limited to two shots on target in the opening half an hour.

James Quirke: RE: 12:47 - It’s not our away kit. It’s a 3rd kit. And most Villa fans don’t like it either.

Matt Andrews: Re bob at 12:47....its our third kit actually.... I love it. Proper retro.

    Superb by John McGinn.

He back helping Villa's defence and manages to stop City from getting a shot away.

He's been a breath of fresh air this season.

That was poor by John Stones. Villa should have punished City. Will that prove costly?

This handball rule in the box is a farce. Even less of a touch for City attacking (vs Spurs) and it's disallowed. VAR is just negatively impacting attacking football.

  19. BIG CHANCEpublished at 24 mins

    Man City 0-0 Aston Villa

    HUGE moment for Villa.

John Stones gifts possession to the visitors and the City's defence is stretched. Douglas Luiz looks to pounce on a rebound after a save by Ederson before going down in a tangle of legs.

    Penalty?

    Play goes on...

First serious save of the match!

Lovely stuff from Joao Cancelo as City's right-back cuts the ball onto his left foot and lets fly from 30-yards.

It's a comfortable stop in the end.
