I know people sometimes praise Barnes and Wood for their effectiveness but if Burnley had a powerful number 9 who could work to the standard gameplan but also sneak one in from 18 yards regularly (I'm thinking in the Mark Viduka mould) then they'd be a right proposition - as it is, when they go a goal down, it's usually unlikely they'll get back into the game.

Chris Hughes: BBC Sport wrong on so many levels, Emlyn Begley... can’t beat a Bovril on a day like this, and at Burnley they’re more into their disgusting hot French herbal liqueur!

Couldn't agree more Chris. Emlyn is bonkers. It's a treat!

  6. 'Following up Arsenal win was key'published at 18:26 British Summer Time 26 October 2019

    West Ham 1-1 Sheffield United

    Sheffield United

More from Chris Wilder speaking to MOTD: "There is always going to be apprehension when you come up into this division. But we are giving ourselves an opportunity of getting something from every game with the way we play.

"I thought today we really asked big questions of West Ham. Monday night [beating Arsenal at home] was a fantastic night for the club, but following that up was the big key and we have certainly done that today."

William Moroga: The American media will be buzzing following this Christian Pulisic performance. They have been on a campaign to get him into the starting 11 and he is doing them proud.

Merihana: Christian Pulisic please score 10 more goals today

Wasiyullah Budye: So finally Pulisic started and showed what he is capable of. 2 individual mistakes but equally two better finish from captain America. Also loved his celebration felt like he was there to prove something.

  8. 'Need to work on Mousset's condition'published at 18:23 British Summer Time 26 October 2019

    West Ham 1-1 Sheffield United

    Sheffield United

More from Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder on goalscorer Lys Mousset: "We have got to get him up to speed. We have got to work on his condition. After scoring the winner against Arsenal on Monday he should have been a shoe-in to start today, but we felt he needed a couple more days to recover, so kept him on the bench.

"He has showed us his talent in glimpses, but he can certainly be a threat in this division."

  9. 'It's been hard not being in the team'published at 18:20 British Summer Time 26 October 2019

    West Ham 1-1 Sheffield United

    West Ham United

West Ham goalscorer Robert Snodgrass: "I'm disappointed - we were the ones pressing forward to get the winning goal. They had a brief spell but we had some great chances to put the game out of reach and didn't take them.

"It's disappointing. I believe your home games are where you should be picking up the points so it's two points dropped for me.

On returning to the team: "It's been very hard for me not being in the team. The manager has signed some players and wanted to give them a chance. I played a lot of games last year and felt I had done well when called upon. I have tried my very best for the team, got the goal and tried to push for another.

"It's good to be out there in a central position, which I really like. Good for myself that I got the goal, but gutted we dropped the points."

Christian Pulisic is running the show for Chelsea - another fantastic solo goal.

The Burnley players don't even go towards him. He has plenty of space, plenty of time to look up, takes his chance on his right foot and drills it low again.

It does take a deflection but it lands in the bottom corner.

  11. 'Delighted with a point'published at 18:19 British Summer Time 26 October 2019

FT: West Ham 1-1 Sheffield United

    Sheffield United

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder speaking to MOTD: "I have mixed emotions about the first and second-half performances.

"We were lacklustre first half. Every time we won the ball back, and it wasn't many, we gave it away.

"We had a good period just before half time, then I believe our second-half performance definitely warranted a result here.

"I asked the players at half time to keep to our standards. If we put on the board every aspect of the game you need to do well, we didn't do any those in the first half but did all of them in the second half.

"We came out and wanted to take the game to our opponents. We wanted to do that first half but were on the back foot and didn't show any energy. We did show that energy in the second half.

"So I am delighted with a point - it's a great result. It was a big test today. A lot of people thought after the Arsenal game on Monday, when we chucked everything into it, that this might have been a definite home win."

Burnley can consider themselves unlucky to be 2-0 down but they've been undone by two errors and moments of real quality.

    Christian Pulisic

It's excellent from Willian, who reads the play and picks off James Tarkowski's pass before setting Christian Pulisic on his way down the middle.

The American glides through the defence, this time moving onto his right foot before his shot takes a big deflection off Ben Mee and slots into the corner.

Pulisic's been the best player on the pitch by a mile.

Christian Pulisic pings it over to Willian on the right. The Brazilian opens up for the volley and watches it all the way onto his boot.

We've seen him do it in the Champions League and his technique is good again but it would take something really special to beat Nick Pope from there!

Is anyone going to mention how Burnley’s only tactic is to chip it long and Barnes to tumble over at the slightest contact - he must have hit the floor 10 times this half alone. Or are we not allowed to suggest “good old honest Burnley” might be divers.

Only 11 more goals and we'll go above Leicester City.
