Fahad Khan: How many times have Azpilicueta given the ball away today !? Reece James needs to get a shot into this team.

I've lost count of the number of times Willian has been in good positions, run down a blind alley and lost the ball.

Chelsea have shocked me more than anybody this season. I thought they would have been mid-table considering all the changes they have made. I am stunned by how well they are doing and how good they look.

The game is a lot more evenly balanced now after Chelsea's early domination and that Gerard Deulofeu's chance has given a thirsty home support cause to be hopeful.

Quique Sanchez Flores has been screaming at Abdoulaye Doucoure to get tighter on Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic but he’s not had much joy yet.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:16 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2019

    Watford 0-1 Chelsea

    Too easy for Chelsea.

The Premier League's bottom club are playing like a team rooted to the bottom of the table.

One minute of additional time. What wise words does Quique Sanchez Flores have for his players at half-time?

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 43 mins

    Watford 0-1 Chelsea

So close to 2-0 as Mason Mount thunders an attempt towards the net which Ben Foster does well to tip on to his bar.

Foster is having a great game. He's the only Watford player who is.

    Watford 0-1 Chelsea

Chelsea are getting a little careless as half-time approaches.

Cesar Azpilicueta needlessly gives the ball away. Fortunately for the visitors, Watford are lacking any sort of creativity and cannot fashion a chance.

  9. CLOSE!published at 39 mins

    Watford 0-1 Chelsea

They've done very little in the first half but Watford almost grab an equaliser out of the blue.

It's a superb piece of individual skill by Gerard Deulofeu who whips in a low fizzing shot from outside the penalty area which flashes just wide.

    Better from Watford!

The transfer ban has been such an unexpected bonus to Chelsea this season. Aside from forcing Chelsea to actually play our young players for once, we've had to "double-down" and rely on existing previous expensive signings like Jorginho and Kovacic - who were slated last year for average performances but are really producing the goods this year.

Is there another team that loves playing away from home as much as Chelsea right now?

Having won their previous six games on the road in all competitions, they're bossing Watford.

It's a miserable old evening weather-wise at Vicarage Road. And Watford are doing little to lift their fans. Their team is five points from safety - and they're very much second best against Chelsea.

Frank Lampard is on his feet in the technical area. The Chelsea boss will be pleased with what he has seen so far. It's been one way traffic. Lampard's only complaint will be that his side should have scored more.

This is gold if you like your stats...

Tammy Abraham has scored seven goals in his six away appearances this season - only Kevin Phillips in 1999-00, Edin Dzeko in 2011-12 and Sergio Aguero in 2016-17 (all eight) have scored more in their opening six away appearances in a Premier League season.

    How is this only 1-0?

Chelsea are flooding into Watford's penalty area at an alarming rate.

Another free-flowing move involving the busy Willian finds Cesar Azpilicueta who fizzes the ball across the six-yard area.

It takes a deflection and goes out for a corner.
