  1. CLOSE!published at 20 mins

    Watford 0-1 Chelsea

    Chelsea are rampant.

After Ben Foster keeps out Tammy Abraham with a fine save, Willian floats in a corner for Christian Pulisic to force another stop by the Watford keeper.

It's a good header by Pulisic - an even better save by Foster.

    That's more like it!

Roberto Pereyra gets the home crowd going with a shot which stings the fingers of Kepa Arrizabalaga. It's comfortable for the Chelsea keeper but at least it's encouraging as far as Watford are concerned.

    More danger for Watford.

Willian is able to whip a cross into the penalty area unchallenged. Tammy Abraham is lurking but the pace of the ball beats the Chelsea forward.

It's very quiet at Vicarage Road apart from the away end.

Watford skipper Craig Cathcart is down having treatment. That gives Quique Sanchez Flores a chance to bark some instructions to Nathaniel Chalobah. This has been a poor start to the game by the hosts.

What a ball that was from Jorginho. Last season he was the lightning rod for all the frustration at Chelsea under Maurizio Sarri. Now the fans can’t get enough of the midfielder, as they showed by singing his name loudly before kick-off.

No sign of a response from Watford. The Premier League's bottom club have yet to register a shot - let alone test Kepa Arrizabalaga who has hardly touched the ball.

This already looks like a long night for Watford.

I've just seen a replay of the goal. That pass by Jorginho was absolutely delicious. Mason Mount was also involved in the move.

    Tammy Abraham

    It's that man again!

What a season Tammy Abraham is having and he shows terrific composure to lift the ball beyond Ben Foster after a cracking pass by Jorginho.

It's a goal straight off the training ground - and just the start Watford did not want.

    Watford 0-0 Chelsea

Watford have hardly touched the ball in the opening three minutes before a poor pass by Fikayo Tomori allows the home team to attack. It comes to nothing. Watford have managed just five Premier League goals this season - including two against Arsenal.

Jorginho punts a long pass forward for last week's hat-trick hero Christian Pulisic but Ben Foster spots the danger and is quickly off his line to collect.

No league wins for Watford this season but they are showing signs of improvement after drawing their last three.

  14. 'Our intensity paid off'published at 17:28 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2019

    FT: Man City 2-1 Southampton

    Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "We did everything, it was so difficult to attack when they defend with 11 players. We did everything we could and in the end our intensity and our players paid off. We made a good comeback. Everyone plays the way we want to play. They are top quality players, they are fast players, it was our job to try and beat Southampton and we did.

"It is not about what Southampton do or play but it is about how we reacted to that. Today we have to do everything. We have to take the rhythm that we needed forward in every sense of the world from how we pick the ball out of the net to how we take throw ins or corners."

No messing about with third-choice kits from Chelsea.

Tammy Abraham needs one goal to go level with Sergio Aguero and Jamie Vardy at the top of the Premier League scoring charts. The England forward got eight in 10 games this season - but none in his last five games for club and country.

    Watford v Chelsea (17:30 GMT)

Head coach Frank Lampard has improved the mood at Chelsea no end, with his promotion of academy players and a quicker playing style than under previous boss Maurizio Sarri. But he’s also added steel to style. Despite finishing third last season, Chelsea’s away form was poor. If they win today it would be a fifth successive away victory in the league and equal a club record seven in all competitions.

A good win again but I still think Liverpool need to buy someone in January who can score from outside the 18 yards box, we are getting too many close calls for almost every other game, Keita and Lallana are not going to add anything to this team.

  20. 'Crazy game'published at 17:17 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2019

    FT: Man City 2-1 Southampton

    Manchester City

Manchester City goalscorer Kyle Walker, speaking to Match of the Day: "It was a crazy game to play, scoring was one of those crazy moments. It's always hard playing against 11 behind the ball.

"They slowed down our pace down which makes it difficult but we stuck to our game plan and it came out okay in the end.

"The talent in the changing room is in abundance, we stuck at it, we kept knocking on the door and thankfully for me the door came open and I was the one that got the goal."
