Chelsea are lacking that creativity, a flair player like Eden Hazard and what he can do - but full credit to Palace, James Tomkins and Gary Cahill haven't given Tammy Abraham a kick.

They might bring on Callum Hudson-Odoi to bring that bit of flair. It feels a waste to have N'Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic both in there, you want another flair player who can unlock the door or create a foul, but Palace's concentration levels have been outstanding.

Chelsea need all three points if they want to finish this game second in the table. If it stays like this, they'll move above Leicester - who entertain Arsenal at 17:30 GMT - into third.

Joe Wedgwood: Roy Hodgson doesn't get nearly enough credit since Euro 2016. He has this Palace side so well drilled - a top manager and genuinely nice bloke.

As poor as the game has been in terms of chances, you have to give Crystal Palace a lot of credit. They have been very disciplined and limited Chelsea outside of the box.

Crystal Palace have not had a single shot but they're level. Roy Hodgson's side have been solid at the back - and Cahill is having a great game on his return to Stamford Bridge.

The half ends with a great scoring chance for Chelsea.

It's a lovely low cross by Reece James which Vicente Guaita can only parry into the path of Willian who must surely score.

What a challenge by Gary Cahill! It keeps Palace level at the break - Chelsea can't believe they didn't score there.

Christian Pulisic looks Chelsea's best source for a goal but the American can't keep his header down after a delicious cross N'Golo Kante.

This game needs more Oomph!

We're into four minutes of stoppage time.

Palace are forced into a change in the dying stages of the first half. Joel Ward is unable to continue and Martin Kelly is on.

Moments before the change, Willian had an attempt which looped towards the net before being gathered comfortably by Vicente Guaita.

Joel Ward thumps the turf in frustration. Is the Palace defender injured? He's carrying on for now...

This isn't a classic yet it remains a fascinating watch. The battle between Reece James and Wilfried Zaha has been a highlight while Christian Pulisic has shown some lovely touches without finding the net.

Roy Hodgson will be delighted with what he has seen. Palace have come to Stamford Bridge with a plan to frustrate - and they're executing it to perfection. Chelsea are not helping themselves. This has not been a fluid performance by the hosts. Loads of time for all that to change.

Reece James is BOSSING Wilfried Zaha. James really is a joy to watch. The teenager sends Zaha on his backside and sparks the biggest roar of the game.

Frank Idezou: The Eagles game plan is to defend deep and counter on the break, probably old fashion, but could work!

This is bubbling. Another late challenge and another yellow - the fourth of the first half. This time it's Mateo Kovacic who is in trouble for hacking down Andros Townsend.

Palace are doing a fine job keeping Chelsea at bay while the visitors look dangerous on the break. Emerson's cynical challenge on Andros Townsend in a dangerous position presents Palace with a scoring chance - and earns Emerson a booking.

Chelsea have had 75% possession but it's all been in the middle third. Palace have been hard to break down. Chelsea need to be disciplined, keep faith and keep going.
