You may have heard there is a huge game at the top of the Premier League this weekend.

It's true. Leaders Liverpool will go NINE points clear if other results go their way and they beat nearest rivals and defending champions Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday (16:30 GMT).

    Massive!

  6. Still going strongpublished at 11:15 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

Roy Hodgson is in talks with Crystal Palace over a new contract.

He's 72. Still going strong. And one of the shrewdest managers in the Premier League.

    What a remarkable career.

  7. Big win for Watfordpublished at 11:11 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

There's already been one match this weekend - and what a huge win for Watford.

Without a win in 11 previous league games this season, the Hornets came away from fellow strugglers Norwich City with a 2-0 win on Friday night.

What does that do to the table?

Watford are off the bottom. Norwich are rock bottom. And Southampton can go level on points with Everton if they beat the Toffees at St Mary's.

  8. 'Palace defending must be spot on'published at 11:08 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

Chelsea v Crystal Palace (12:30 GMT)

    Alistair Bruce-Ball
    MOTD commentator at Stamford Bridge

The added joy for Chelsea fans is they're watching some thrilling football with lots of goals along the way.

Crystal Palace do it a different way. Roy Hodgson has admitted they are not going to be a free-scoring team this season, which means defending always has to be spot on. Conceding three goals from set-pieces against Arsenal and Leicester is an obvious concern.

Crystal Palace aren't having a bad season either and a win at Stamford Bridge will catapult them into the top five - if only for a few hours.

Tottenham have work to do if they are to get their domestic season back on track. Spurs start the weekend 10 points off a top-four spot ahead of their home game with the hugely impressive Sheffield United.

That is one of four 15:00 GMT games. The other three include Burnley - three defeats in a row - at home to West Ham - five games without a win.

The sixth and final game of the day is a belter. Leicester will climb into second spot if they beat an Arsenal side that has managed one win in six league and cup games.

Did the Gunners overlook Brendan Rodgers when looking for someone to succeed Arsene Wenger?
