  1. CLOSE!published at 15 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Arsenal

Arsenal's Hector Bellerin gets to the byeline, pulls it back for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is denied by Wilfried Ndidi throwing himself in the way. But it then falls to Alexandre Lacazette but he can only steer it wide when off balance and on the turn.

  2. Arsenal change things aroundpublished at 13 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Arsenal

BBC Sport at King Power Stadium

Arsenal have let slip a lead in each of their last four games so Unai Emery has opted for something a bit different in defence both in an effort to combat that and stifle the threat of Jamie Vardy.

The Gunners have gone three at the back in the league for the first time this season but the predatory Vardy is still finding pockets of space. A better first touch just now and he was in on goal.

Ben Talbott: Already Lacazette cannot care less about tracking Chilwell - plenty of two on one chances to come down the lcfc left tonight

If Arsenal don't win tonight, we'll be 12 games deep and the team in 5th will have only won 4 games - madness.

  4. 'I need to look forward and keep working'published at 17:42 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

    Tottenham 1-1 Sheffield United

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino speaking to the BBC: "It was an even game, difficult for us - they are a very good, organised team, it was difficult to play in the first half, second half we were better. Overall, it's a fair result.

"We knew very well how they play, they got a draw in Chelsea and they are playing so well. The most difficult thing for us was to match their energy. In the second half we were much better and matched them. I think they deserve one point.

"The reality is that for different reasons we are not showing the performances that we expect. We try to build confidence, the team is in a period where we are finding the best balance. I need to look forward and keep working and try to improve. We are not in a good position in the table."

On the disallowed goal: "It happened with us against Leicester, similar to today. This type of situation is difficult to talk about but I think every single fixture we are talking about the VAR!"

    Leicester 0-0 Arsenal

Leicester's Ben Chilwell floats a free-kick in from the left and it evades everyone. Caglar Soyuncu flings himself to the floor, but he was never going to get a penalty for that.

Well, with VAR, you just never know.

Matteo Guendouzi was the closest Gunner to Soyuncu but the VAR team make the right call this time.

  6. 'Gomes text me before kick-off'published at 17:39 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

    FT: Southampton 1-2 Everton

    Everton

Everton manager Marco Silva, speaking to MOTD: "It [the win] was really important for us. We deserved the three points. We were the best team on the pitch. The first half was really good but we should kill the game. Southampton reacted and scored but to show again the character to go back and win game was good.

"We are learning. We should have been better away. Our quality has to come away but it is good for us to win today and we hope the next games away we can be strong as well.

"All of us inside the club want to be in a different position but you have to look for a different picture. In all the games it is difficult to find one team who is better than ourselves. Pressure - never. It is a privilege to be at Everton Football Club. Many things have come against us but we will keep fighting.

"The three points are not just Andre [Gomes] - they are for Andre and for Jean-Philippe Gbamin. We already had two players need surgeries [this season]. Andre is at home and he will be really happy. He text me before the match and supported our team. He will be always with us in our thoughts and we are supporting him as well."

At the other end, Bernd Leno has to sprint out of his penalty area and head a clearance into touch, with Jamie Vardy trying to chase on to the ball forward. Smart work from the Arsenal goalkeeper.

A chance for the visitors. It comes down the right wing with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang getting a cross in, but Mesut Ozil can't get a touch. Instead it falls to Alexandre Lacazette, whose shot is off target.

    Leicester 0-0 Arsenal

We've got heavy rain in Leicester, but the hosts have made the brighter of the starts, pinning Arsenal back in defence.

"We've got Ozil, Mesut Ozil," chant the Arsenal fans and it's a rare sighting of the German World Cup winner.

In fact, it's only the third time the talented midfielder has started a Premier League match away from home this calendar year.

  10. 'One week we play well, the next one we concede stupid goals'published at 17:34 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

    Newcastle 2-1 Bournemouth

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser: "We could have had a couple goals more but it looks like a recurrent theme for us: one week we play really well but the next one we concede stupid goals and we get beaten, that’s got to change.

"When we go 1-0 up we tend to sit back and we concede stupid goals, it is so hard to score away in the Premier League so this is really frustrating.

"One defeat in eight game is not bad but if we look at some games we drew we should have won those as well. We want to be looking forward not over our shoulders."

  11. 'We're conceding too many'published at 17:32 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

    Burnley 3-0 West Ham

    West Ham United

West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini: "I don't know if it was an unacceptable performance. We conceded the first goal from a corner that was not a corner.

"When you concede so many easy goals it does not help. I am concerned at the easy goals we are conceding. We need to change. I prefer not to analyse individual performances - I prefer to talk about the team.

"We have 15 days and we will try and recover. The international break has come at a good time. We need to work hard and reverse this situation. It's more than just confidence - we are conceding too many goals. if you concede too many easy goals it is very difficult to win."

On the injury to Manuel Lanzini: "We will see what has happened with his shoulder but he will probably be out for some time."

  13. 'No-one wanted the ball'published at 17:32 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

    Southampton 1-2 Everton

    Southampton

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl, speaking to Match of the Day: "I think again we conceded a very early goal and it kills the mentality of our team. The first half was horrible. No-one wanted the ball anymore. You could feel the lack of self confidence.

"It took us until the second half to get positive body language. The second half was OK. We went very offensive and it gave us a little more quality but you expose the defence and the goal killed us.

"It is not a nice situation. I can guarantee the players try to fight to win games. At the moment we are not good enough."

Asked if he had the strength to carry on, he said: "I have to. It is my job to be strong in that moment. It is why I am here. I will try to invest everything and try to work hard and get better. I think we can play better."

  16. 'I'm proud of the players and the performance'published at 17:29 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

    Tottenham 1-1 Sheffield United

    Sheffield United

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder speaking to the BBC: "I'm proud of the players, the performance, and I thought we took the game to the opposition from the off.

"We feel we have identity. We defend from the front. We all have jobs to do. We've restricted world-class players to very few opportunities. You know that they will, through natural ability and talent, create, but we stuck in there. I believe we were the better side today.

"[On the disallowed goal] If they're looking at lines and magnifiying it and getting it right then fine... of course the length of time is disappointing for everybody, but if it's offside, it's offside. The thing I didn't get is the reset - I thought it would get reset and then away you go for the second phase.

"I'm more interested in the recovery of my players, how they went for the jugular to try and get back in the game. We were ridiculed at the start of the season for how we play but we've stuck to our guns, altered it a little bit, but to go into the international break undefeated I think shows what we're all about."

  17. 'We needed to take more chances'published at 17:29 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

    Newcastle 2-1 Bournemouth

    Newcastle United

Newcastle manager Steve Bruce speaking to Match of the Day: "The team showed a great spirit after the first twenty minutes when Bournemouth caused us a lot of problems. But after that we had to dig in and we created enough chances to win to a much healthier margin.

"When we scored it lifted the whole crowd, then the longer the game went on we just needed to take more chances."

On Newcastle front-three not scoring: "They are doing everything but, they are creating chances and as long as they keep contributing I am sure the rest will come."

On defenders scoring: "That’s vitally important, we know how important set-pieces are and if you have three central defenders you need to capitalize."
