Ex-Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 livePhil Jones has struggled. I would like to know when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decided to play with three at the back. Don't forget we have had an international break. Whether they have actually been able to work on that formation, I am not sure. It does not look like they have.
Sometimes when you play with three central defenders and there is only one player playing against you up front, you think you have this safety in numbers and you forget to pick players up and that is a little bit what it looks like for Manchester United. Jones has been drawn out from his left centre-back position on a number of occasions and looked very unsure of himself.

Sheffield United's goalkeeper has only had to make one save and that was not particularly difficult. De Gea has been Manchester United's best player but the attitude of Manchester United is almost 'what you doing, you can't tackle me!' Sheffield United have been outstanding.

BBC Sport at Bramall LaneA throughly deserved standing ovation for Sheffield United's players as they head for the dressing room. Chris Wilder will be pleased with what he has seen but he knows the job is only half done.
Manchester United have serious work to do. That first half display was woeful and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs to change something to turn it around.

Solskjaer has got his tactics completely wrong. Playing two small midfielders against Sheffield United's hard working three was never going to work. The front three cannot get the ball to stick and playing three center backs plays into their hands with the slow passing build up from the back.
