Liverpool 2-0 Brighton
"Watch him defend and we watch him score..."

Today is the day that I've looked in the mirror and thought we can actually win it. Up the reds . Klopp is my hero!
Mike D, Billericay
Liverpool defence hasn't been the same as last season which worries me. As a long suffering supporter, I will not celebrate the title until it is mathematically impossible to loose. Remember last season and the other two occasions.

Newcastle 2-2 Man City

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker on Final Score
I don’t understand why Manchester City were fifteen yards from the ball and they paid the price with Shelvey's goal.
Liverpool can win games playing badly, City played badly today but could not win.
Without Fernandinho in midfield they look average. He’s the most commited player and now they are not playing well the other players don’t look as commited.
Newcastle 2-2 Man City
Manchester City
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola speaking to Match of the Day: "We played at a good level. It was not easy because they defended deep. We scored two goals but we also let two in which is disappointing.
"With substitutions sometimes players forget positions. We found a way to get through but we unfortunately at the end we conceded a goal. There are teams that defend deeper like this, it happens all season. We do the same work we have done over the last few seasons. We tried to score more goals but it did not happen."
Newcastle 2-2 Man City
Newcastle United
Newcastle manager Steve Bruce speaking to BT Sport: "There were terrific in their work and their attitude. You need your goalkeeper to play well which he did and you need some resilience, which we had. Manchester City are a great team but we managed to play to their standard.
"For what we have at the minute, with our front free, we are doing okay. Our front three don't score but they are always attacking, they are dangerous. I thought it was a good goal from Jetro Willems and Almiron finally has an assist. The points total has stacked up and now we have a big game against Sheffield United to look forward to."
On Jonjo Shelvey's goal: "We know Jonjo has the ability to do that that which is why he has cost what he has throughout his career. He has done really well in recent games and I am glad he got the goal."
Newcastle 2-2 Man City
Manchester City
John Stones of Manchester City speaking to BT Sport: "That result is hard to take. The dressing room is really flat. Everything happened so quickly in the last ten minutes from elation to deflation. It’s a difficult one to take.
"They set up defensively right from the off. We conceded two sloppy goals today and that has cost us today. The chase is still on. We fight until the last day. That’s what we did last season. Anything can happen. Today we played some unbelievable play but those mistakes cost us."
While the players at Burnley, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs have a half-time orange and tactical masterclass, let's round up the rest of the reaction from the lunchtime game.
In case, you missed it.... Manchester City's hopes of defending their Premier League title were dealt another blow when Jonjo Shelvey's stunning late equaliser earned Newcastle a point at St James' Park.
That means Liverpool are on course to move 11 points clear...
Chelsea 0-0 West Ham
Not seen much of Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud as he tries to muscle Tammy Abraham out of the side on a more regular basis.
In fact, the Frenchman has only had 11 touches - fewer than anyone else on the pitch.

Scott: Jose clearly hasn't seen that Spurs can't play 3 at the back. No clean sheet today unless he changes it

Liverpool have played well when they needed to. They have turned it on and controlled the game and when they quietened down and Brighton had a few moments, they shut it down quickly. Virgil van Dijk has been the best defender, midfielder and attacker so far. He's been ridiculous.
HT: Burnley 0-1 Crystal Palace
Only bottom side Watford had scored less goals than Crystal Palace heading into this weekend's round of Premier League fixtures.
So that goal and that lead will be very welcome. It's also Wilfried Zaha's second goal in as many games.

It is a goalkeeping error, Pope should not have been beaten on the near post
Zaha did not get into the defensive shape, Palace won the ball back and immediately he’s in space and he can run at Burnley’s defence.
He should never score from that angle but that is Zaha. You can clearly see he’s at it today and that’s the confidence the goal from last week has given him.
Burnley 0-1 Crystal Palace
A fairly forgettable half but Crystal Palace won't care. They lead at half-time at Turf Moor.
Chelsea 0-0 West Ham
And that was pretty much the last kick of the first half.
Chelsea frustrated as they didn't quite click, while West Ham will be encouraged by a better first-half performance than we've seen in recent weeks.
Chelsea 0-0 West Ham
You'd have backed him to put this away on current form...
Christian Pulisic finds acres of space at the far post as Reece James swings in a delightful cross, only for the American - perhaps not helped by a slight touch by Hammers defender Angelo Ogbonna - to prod over into the Shed End.
Liverpool 2-0 Brighton
All going very well for Liverpool, who sit 11 points clear at the top of the table as it stands.

That was joyous play. As a neutral, you really wanted that goal to go in. Four player involved, all playing at full pace, all knowing where the other was going, it's just such a shame it did not go in.
