Another day of drama, goals and controversy comes to an end but the good news is there is another round of Premier League games coming up in midweek. And the games are spread over Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

They include Jose Mourinho's return to Manchester United with Tottenham as well as a Merseyside derby at Anfield.

Leicester City

Brendan Rodgers speaking to BBC 5 Live on being linked to the Arsenal job: "It is all hypothetical - you guys in the media need to write things.

"My main focus is very much with Leicester. They have been first class with me. I left a club eight months ago, and now there's a huge challenge for us which is finishing in the top-six. I have loved every minute since I came here.

"We have more work to do and I am excited about that. So my concentration at the moment is very much with Leicester."

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has just finished his press conference.

He ended it by saying he hoped to have either Paul Pogba or Scott McTominay back for Wednesday's game against Tottenham.

Aston Villa

Dean Smith on Jack Grealish's England chances: "He's pushing the people who choose the squad every time he pulls on a Villa shirt and that goal topped it. What he needed to improve on was goals and assists and he's starting to do that now. For the first half of the game he was controlling it."

Leicester midfielder James Maddison made a touching gesture after the match at the King Power in reaction to the news that Benik Afobe's two-year-old daughter Amora died on Friday.

Manchester United

Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskajer: "First half today wasn't good enough, their first goal knocked us emotionally, we didn't compete until half-time. The boys have character, they're young, they have loads of energy and the second half was miles better, but it's a game of two halves as everyone says.

"These boys will improve and learn from this experience. As a club we don't like to be in this position but that's the reality. Wednesday we have a big game, Saturday, these boys are looking forward to every game.

"Inconsistency will happen, in moments we played fantastic and at times we were too open. We failed to control the game but we cant do anything about that now."

Aston Villa manager Dean Smith has just done his press conference.

I asked him what he says to Jack Grealish when it is suggested he needs to leave Villa Park to get an England call.

"I don't agree with that. Tyrone Mings is in the England squad and during international weeks we have 12 players away," said Smith.

"He just has to keep doing what he is doing."

Leicester City

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers speaking to BBC Sport: "I thought we deserved it. It was difficult in the first half, they sat in but we tried to stay positive and play our offensive game. To come from behind as well demonstrates the quality and mindset of this team to keep going.

"In any good team you have to have that. The best teams have spirit. This is a team that is so strong together. Kelechi is a wondeful demonstration of someone who trains with a great attitude every day. They allow this team to develop to the level it has been at because they work hard in training."

On his conversation with substitute Kelechi Iheanacho: "It was just to give him the confidence to get him to do what we wanted him to. We had a shape we wanted to go to, it was giving him the confidence and reinforcing his role. The rest was him. I'm absolutely delighted for him."

On his side's winning run: "Momentum is really important. I'm just so happy to see the players have the patience and the belief that they can consistently get results. We found a way with quality and determination. It's a very good win, now we have a big game again here on Wednesday."

Manchester United

Man Utd boss Ole Gunner Solskjaer on whether his side can reach the top four: "That will take care of itself in the end. We have to be better, we have to work as a team and become a better unit. Today it was end to end, we were exciting going forward but we should have controlled the game more."

Dillon: Tonight's result is exactly why you can't write of a Leicester City title charge just yet.

Continuing to impress with their performances and showing they can grind out results as well when required. Liverpool will have a slip or two at some point!

Bob: Man Utd going nowhere, need a striker and pick either Marcus Rashford or Anthony Martial on the left.

Olamide: The only positives this month are the games against Spurs and Man City... enough to put Ole out of his misery. We tend to wait until things get really sour to wield the axe.

No-one at Manchester United expected them to challenge Liverpool or Manchester City this season.

Leicester and Chelsea have exceeded expectations.

But the fact United trail Sheffield United in the Premier League table after 14 games is a sorry situation for a club who have the financial muscle capable of matching any team in the world.

Jack Grealish was by far the best player on show. The hosts were second best in virtually every department.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings on Jack Grealish's England prospects: "We are all new to the Premier League so we have to prove ourselves and that's the only thing we can do. Whether that comes with recognition is only a matter of time for Jack, he's been superb.

"I'm enjoying some of the best football of my career. The atmosphere at Villa allows people to flourish and long may it continue."

Everton manager Marco Silva speaking to Sky Sports: "A really harsh result for the players and the club. We deserve more from this game. Looking at the matches Leicester have played we have created more problems for them. We did well, we knew before [the game] they would have more possession but we had chances and we deserve [more].

"We started the second half better and with better actions we could have scored the second goal. But unfortunately on two moments it was harsh for our players - no one can say anything about ambition or effort for the game. We had to show a performance after last weekend against Norwich."

On Everton's form: "I don't know people talking about the situation - the people who know how we fight can talk about the situation, the players are proving every time. Last time was not good enough, there is a big attitude, we made a mistake but no one can say anything about our attitude or commitment.

"What I can tell is about our performance. The things we did - some not so good, but about pressure or not is not important for me. When you are manager there is always pressure and results swill decide. For the players the fans were supporting them, the players are fighting with the commitment they want to see."

On facing Liverpool next: "It is our obligation as a club to do that [go with belief]. We know they are in good moment. Everything today and last season as well should give confidence, we can go there- it will be tough but we go there to fight and with the commitment of this afternoon.

"We should improve results and we are working to improve the results. I am the first one working to improve results."

Jonny: He’s missed two games and we’ve dropped four winnable points... who would have thought Scott McTominay would become Man United's most important player?

Regular Jon: Four league wins all season, it’s just horrific. I love Ole and want him to succeed, we do need to be patient but things really have to pick up soon or he won’t even make to the transfer window. The players have to take a look at themselves, woeful.

Manchester United

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is talking to TV.

"We didn't go out together as a team," he says. "We should have done better. These boys will learn and improve. Sometimes inconsistency will happen with young boys.

"We failed to control the game at times but we can't do anything about that now. We have to work on us as a team and become a better unit. Aston Villa had too many counter-attacks for my liking."

Everton manager Marco Silva speaking to Match of the Day: "It's really harsh for us - we didn't deserve it at all. We deserved to take something more in this game.

"Nothing to say about the attitude and commitment. We were playing against a confident team. Of all their games at home this might have been the toughest they had.

"In the beginning of the second half it was good for us. We created some good moments to kill the game.

"But they have a top striker who in one moment can kill us.

"The VAR goal is not a moment to talk about the situation. It was tough for us and our fans. It was a decision, and maybe in some seconds before we should have made better decisions.

"I have no doubts that I don't have their [players'] backing. No one can say nothing about the attitude of my players. They showed a reaction for the last game. It's not to be behind me, but being behind Everton football club."
