Thomas: If Manchester United want to do well in the next 5 years, Ole has to go, he is building a squad with no midfield who can not keep the ball, who are mentally weak. He is doing a dismal job and if he were sacked he could have ZERO complaints.

Same old story. Ole will say the lads put in a shift but if you haven't the quality, that doesn't mean much.

The one positive for Manchester United so far is that they are moving in the right direction. They started this game in the bottom half of the table but they are now up to ninth. If they win, they'll finish the day in fifth spot.

Michael: I’m sitting on my couch in Ohio watching this United match. But I swear I’ve moved more in the first half than Martial has.

Simon: The cross by Pereira for Villa’s equaliser is the only piece of true quality I can recall from United in this first half. Villa have looked very comfortable.

    Robbie Savage
Ex-Wales midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Brilliant goal from Jack Grealish. Wonderful technique.

For me he’s a Manchester United player, but I’m not saying he should leave Aston Villa.

For me he should be in the English squad.

  13. 'Villa should be 2-0 up'published at 17:24 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2019

    Man United 1-1 Aston Villa

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Tottenham and England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

For 47 minutes Villa have been the better team.

Villa players are arguing among themselves because they should have been 2-0 up.

Man United like last week, they have not turned up.

I don’t know what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is going to say this week in the dressing room, because what he said last week obviously worked.

  14. Silva will be so satisfiedpublished at 17:22 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2019

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at The King Power Stadium

Everton manager Marco Silva will be delighted with that. He has watched an organised and committed display from his side that has really frustrated Leicester City and their supporters.

The Foxes have not been allowed to hit their stride and it's a big half time talk for manager Brendan Rodgers.

  18. Own goal equaliserpublished at 17:18 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2019

    Man United 1-1 Aston Villa

I've just seen a replay of Manchester United's equaliser.

Marcus Rashford's header strikes a post before bouncing up and hitting Villa keeper Tom Heaton's shoulder on its way over the line.

That will go down as an own goal!
