    Leicester 0-1 Everton

Dominic Calvert-Lewin cuts inside coming in from the right then smacks a shot off the head of Jonny Evans. His intention was obviously to find the net.

That’s a well worked corner and it is a wonderful ball from Pereira.

Mings gets caught while most of Villa players get up. If Mings gets up Rashford is offside.

  3. goal

GOAL - Man Utd 1-1 Aston Villapublished at 17:11 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2019

    Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford will get the plaudits but the delivery by Andreas Pereira is out of this world.

It's a first time cross by the Brazilian - after a short corner - and his pin-point delivery allows Rashford to head past Tom Heaton.

That's lifted the mood inside Old Trafford.

Rob: THAT is how they should use VAR... Clearly no contact on Chilwell... Still taking too long I noticed there was no contact after 2 replays not 50 replays.

Tom: Leicester fans looking a bit silly here... absolutely no contact there. Lucky to get away without a yellow card.

JB: Absolute dive by Chilwell and the right decision was made, Leicester fans moaning even though it was shown on the screen.

    Leicester 0-1 Everton

A great move from Leicester ends with Yerry Mina needing to thump the ball away with Youri Tielemans lurking in the area.

Ref Graham Scott stops the game momentarily after Ricardo Pereira receives a bump to the head.

    He seems OK.

    Five minutes until half-time.

Manchester United have had three shots and just one on target. A reminder, they are the HOME team.

  7. Poor from Man Utdpublished at 17:08 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2019

    Man Utd 0-1 Aston Villa

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

Manchester United have been pretty poor so far.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer suggested at Sheffield United last week that he could have changed his entire team at half-time.

As it turned out, he made just one change to his starting line-up. The introduction of Juan Mata has not made much difference to the performance.

Another silly foul by Andreas Pereira this time on Conor Hourihane just outside United's penalty area. Still no booking for the persistent offender.

BTW Everton have won their last nine league games when scoring the first goal.

    Man United 0-1 Aston Villa

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Tottenham and England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

This is very similar to how Man United played last week.

This is all about work-rate and as a team Man United are well off the pace.

They are not closing people down, they are not trying to get the ball back quick enough.

Villa are doing what they want.

  11. VAR

Video Assistant Referee says no penaltypublished at 17:05 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2019

    Leicester 0-1 Everton

It is ruled there was not contact on Ben Chilwell.

Daniel James and Wesley clatter into one another in front of the dugouts.

James definitely comes off worse and it's a United free-kick which they waste.

Mike: We are losing this, lose to spurs midweek and then to city , brace up folks dooms day is here for United.

Olamide: Other teams almost always play better than us. They seem to always know what they are doing as opposed to us playing like we don't even train at all.

Juan Mata's deflected pass off Frederic Guilbert falls to Marcus Rashford but the United striker can't make a clean connection and it rolls wide.

It's that sort of afternoon for United so far.

  15. PENALTY TO LEICESTERpublished at 17:02 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2019

    Man United 0-1 Aston Villa

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Tottenham and England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

You look at the Man United creativity in midfield and Mata has got a lot of responsibility but he is not getting on the ball and he’s no getting the passes. So that front there is not getting any service.

  18. Postpublished at 17:00 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2019

The ball is in the back of United's net!

It's bundled over the line by substitute Trezeguet after a mighty scramble but the offside flag is up.

United get away with that one.
