Danny: Knew it was too good to be true, defence is still a shambles.

Sumit: Burnley are so poor. No real threat going forward. Lack of imagination and quality. Norwich and Aston Villa who are at the bottom of the league table play much better football and deserve to be higher up in the table.

    Rosina: Superb performance tonight Blues

There are errors in this Manchester City side. Burnley haven't put them under any pressure until the last few minutes and I can't think of a save Ederson has had to make.

  5. 'Delighted for the players'published at 22:04 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2019

    FT: Crystal Palace 1-0 Bournemouth

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson told Match of the Day: "It was a great victory. I'm full of praise for what the players did today. To firstly lose your centre-back to a challenge which the referee deems to be a red card, and then to lose a left-back in an area where we have no cover.

"The last place we could really cover injuries was at the back, but we did and I thought the players showed an outstanding attitude at the back. Normally when you win 1-0 with 10 men you think you were lucky, but that wasn't really the case and we had a few chances of our own so I'm delighted for he players."

That was Riyad Mahrez's 50th Premier League goal, by the way. A nice little landmark and takes him level with Paulo Wanchope, Danny Murphy and Mark Bright.

It's not even great play by Burnley. It ricochets around the penalty area and Robbie Brady puts it past Ederson. Pep Guardiola can't believe what he's seen.

  8. goal

GOAL - Burnley 1-4 Manchester Citypublished at 22:01 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2019

    Robbie Brady (89 mins)

    So long, clean sheet points!

Out of nothing Burnley have one back as Jeff Hendrick is tackled in the area, the ball squirms out and is allowed to run right across the box for Robbie Brady to run in and slam into the net.

  9. goal

GOAL - Burnley 0-4 Manchester Citypublished at 21:59 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2019

    Riyad Mahrez (87 mins)

Some boos from the home fans as Riyad Mahrez makes that look so easy. Gabriel Jesus goes up for a header, the ball falls at the feet of the Algerian centrally, about 30 yards out. Ben Mee doesn't want him on his left foot so shows him on to his right and Mahrez just takes the invite and batters a low shot past Nick Pope.

    Burnley 0-3 Manchester City

90 minutes of chasing shadows comes to a head as Jeff Hendrick takes out Daivd Silva at the shins. Poor challenge, he's in the book.

  11. CLOSE!published at 21:57 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2019

    Burnley 0-3 Manchester City

Almost a third for Gabriel Jesus as Angelino pings a cross/shot right across the face of Nick Pope and the Brazilian just can't quite reach it.

City then give Fernandinho an early bath as Eric Garcia gets a Premier League appearance at the back.

Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake told Amazon: "We were not direct enough and we made the wrong decisions on the ball. We dribbled when we should have passed and passed when we should have dribbled. We didn’t create anything and it was not good enough. We have lost the last four games and we are on a bad run so the confidence is a bit low, but we have to make sure we get out of it quick.

"We play Liverpool at home next and that will be great to turn the corner by picking up points. I think if you look at the players, we have a very good squad, one of the best we have ever had, but at the moment it has not been great. There is so much more to come and we need to show on the pitch what we can do.

"The Premier League is tough and teams like this are so hard to break down so that’s why we need that bit of magic. We want to thank the fans who stayed to applaud us after the game and we have to make sure we fight for them on Saturday."

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe to Match of the Day: "It is a tough one for us to take. We needed to get something from tonight's game and we are hugely disappointed we haven't. We didn't do enough with the ball and we didn't hurt them enough. Credit to them for how they defended in their shape. We should be able to do better and I have to take responsibility for that.

"Yes they have players that can hurt you on transition and they are very well organised, but we needed more pressure and more goalmouth action and it was tough to watch. We attack with everybody and it's about distribution from the back, and we had a lot of the ball but it was all in front of them and it was a bit predictable.

"When you're in this form, it is a tough one to work out, we could have won all of these games but we have lost them narrowly."

Greg: Absolute screamer from Rodri. No keeper stopping that.

Emeka: Rodri just did "a de Bruyne"... What a Hit!
