More from Klopp on Liverpool's record 32 games unbeaten run: "I would love that this number is in one season. That would be great! Last season we were nearly 38 games unbeaten but it was not enough. Nice number but not really interested in it.

"I can't remember one game in the 100 [of his PL wins] where we shouldn't have won it. It feels like we have to win each and every game. All the wins are necessary. It's a good start, that's it - maybe a perfect start. We sleep twice, maybe three times then we play Bournemouth.

"They are in the moment and will go with all they have so we have to recover and go again."

There's a few managers around. Surely Everton won't go back to ground they've already been over in Sam Allardyce.

The club have to careful they don't do things too quickly and be greedy. Everton have done that and they've got to be careful.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp speaking to Amazon: "Oh, a lot of great football moments in that game. We spoke before about the five changes. I had to show respect to the boys for what they do in training. I speak a lot about the quality of the squad so have to show it. What they made of it was incredible. Divock's goals, Sadio's passes, Shaqiri's everything, Lallana was everywhere...

"So many good football moments but from time-to-time we were a bit rusty in defending. They were really direct and we had a lot of second ball situations.

"We knew these boys were good. We don't have a big squad because of injuries but young boys make impressions from behind too. We know the quality we have. They really push from behind so that's cool. That was the first game of a tough fixture list. We have to make changes and we will make changes.

"Naby Keita is the only one, who is in outstanding shape, who didn't play. I made five changes and was not brave enough to make six changes that is the only problem. I'm really pleased for them. I was not in doubt about it. The boys need to, when they have the chance, show it. Not for me really but for the public. I am really happy."

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: "All the goals were incredible, outstanding. Wonderful goals, sensational passes, super pieces of football. I loved it a lot.

"We needed fresh legs and I had to show my respect to the boys in the squad, that's all. They proved it. It is much more fun making changes, all of the boys are ready to deliver performances like this.

"It was a massive moment in my first season when Divock Origi got injured in the derby. It changed his career for a bit."

I'm so impressed with Jonny Evans' leadership.

It is a brilliant team with Jamie Vardy still scoring goals and Watford were always going to find it difficult against an impressive Leicester side. They have got a nice blend.

Liverpool goalscorer Xherdan Shaqiri speaking to Match of the Day: "Obviously I am really happy. Especially against Everton, it is a big derby. I was very happy when I knew I was playing and I wanted to contribute to the win. I have been working hard to come back. I feel good and I feel fresh. Hopefully I can help the team more.

"I think we trust each other a lot. It doesn't matter how we play. We changed the formation a little bit this week so it was new. And it was not simple for some players to come into this game but we managed very well. We won today really good. There are a lot of games to come now so we need to stay on top.

"We are grounded. We know where we come. We take it game by game and that's the most important thing. We don't need to think about winning titles. My biggest dream is to win the title with this club and give it to the fans. So we will try everything. We have to focus on the pitch, stay grounded and work hard every day. If we win, it will be amazing but we still have a long way to go."

  11. 'We made a lot of mistakes'published at 22:38 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2019

    Everton

    Marco SilvaImage source, Reuters

Everton boss Marco Silva, speaking to Match of the Day: "We cannot concede goals in the way we conceded. We knew everything about them before the match and how they like to play whether with Origi, Salah or Firmino, we know how they would play.

"There was a lot of mistakes we made. The second goal conceded created a big big problem for us. We showed fight to make it 2-1. We had a chance to make it 2-2. But they deserved the three points and the win."

On his position: "I am not the right person to answer about the situation, this question is for different people.

"We are making some mistakes which put us under big, big pressure. The type of mistakes we are making is because the players are playing under big pressure because of the position in the table. They are making some mistakes that are not normal for the level we are."

I think Man Utd still need an out and out centre-forward. Mason Greenwood was intelligent in his play, how he came off the two centre-halves.

But he is still learning, so you could do with a nice experienced centre-forward because there were a lot of balls that went across that area.

  13. 'We came back in a great manner'published at 22:35 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2019

    Man Utd 2-1 Spurs

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on BBC Radio 5 Live: "Three points are massive for us. We've had six draws already, too many. We've been in a winning position in all of them. Today was another one of them, it's a great lesson for us - what's happened the last two games. We came back in a great manner.

"It was the best performance Marcus Rashford has had under me - a mature and aggressive performance. It was a great performance. It's like he was back on the playground, we just want these players to express themselves and have fun."

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has won 100 of his 159 Premier League games, he is the second fastest manager to reach 100 wins in the competition, after Jose Mourinho (142 games).

In fact, he is the fastest Liverpool manager to 100 wins in top-flight history.

  15. Could United win the derby? 'You never know'published at 22:33 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2019

    Manchester United 2-1 Tottenham

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Tottenham and England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Manchester United obviously enjoy playing the big teams. Everyone is saying that Manchester City will beat them at the weekend but you never know.

They've got pace to play on the counter with Daniel James and Marcus Rashford. And if the midfield of Scott McTominay and Fred play like that at the weekend you never know.

  16. 'The formation change felt like desperation'published at 22:33 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2019

    Liverpool 5-2 Everton

    Michael Brown

When Marco Silva changed the formation from 5-3-2 to 4-4-2, there was no balance. It felt like desperation. He doesn't normally make changes like that.

  17. 'We were not good enough'published at 22:32 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2019

    Liverpool 5-2 Everton

    Everton

    Marco SilvaImage source, Reuters

Everton manager Marco Silva: "It was a tough night for us. We knew before the match it would be tough for us, we had to be competitive. We conceded two quick goals and that was really tough for us. We knew what they would try to do, we knew everything, we cannot concede goals in that way at the level we are.

"Our two defenders were in a good position but agian, Origi scores. It is impossible, we have to track these players. It does not make sense, we did not plan that way.

"It is really tough for us to be in the relegation zone but if you are there you are making the same mistakes. I'm not here to talk about the fight of the players, our opponent was more brave than us. We should do better of course, we were not good enough."

Will you still be in a job next week?

"I am not the right person to answer. Every game I get the same question. My words here will change nothing."

  18. 'We were reactive rather than proactive'published at 22:30 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2019

    Manchester United 2-1 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho on BBC Radio 5 Live: "We didn't play well for 30 minutes, then I thought we did. We can't decide a goal like the second goal. It was a throw-in, everyone was sleeping, they only reacted when Marcus Rashford got near the box.

"United were more aggressive in the first 30 minutes, more intense, so they deserve to win.

"I knew United at home would use the crowd, they've got a lot of young players and I knew they'd want to press and play with intensity, I told my players, but they couldn't react.

On what Spurs need to improve: "I know that this team needs to be more aggressive. We need to win more duels, we need to start the game with more intensity. We need to make the opponent feel what United made us feel. You need to make opponents feel like they're going to be in trouble. We were reactive rather than proactive."

  19. 'Fred was excellent'published at 22:26 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2019

    Manchester United 2-1 Tottenham

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Tottenham and England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Fred was excellent tonight. He doesn't get mentioned, he normally gets a lot of stick, but he was good tonight.

Tottenham just couldn't match them. They couldn't match their intensity.
