    Liverpool 1-0 Everton

    Michael Brown
Former Manchester City midfielder on BBC 5 Live Sports Extra

This is an all-time low for Everton. What kind of performance or grit can these players find or the manager will go. It's a worry for them with Liverpool scoring so early.

  3. Postpublished at 20:28 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2019

    Liverpool 1-0 Everton

A sniff of a chance for Everton from a long free-kick, it's not dealt with fully and Dominic Calvert-Lewin slashes a shot wide.

Mike Cornell: Marco Silva has got the look of someone who knows he’s a dead man walking.

John Wray: What a pass by Mane! The curl on it... if Origi missed it I think it would’ve completed a perfect circle!

    Man Utd 1-1 Spurs

Manchester United are unbeaten in their last 137 home Premier League games when scoring first (W124 D13).

Could that run come to an end today?

    Liverpool 1-0 Everton

The only PL Merseyside derby the Toffees have won after conceding the opening goal was the first: a 2-1 victory at Goodison Park on 7 December 1992 after Mark Wright had given the Reds the lead.

Maz: Right VAR call on Dele's goal. Never was that clear and obvious. Plus would have been a travesty to disallow such a beautiful goal

  9. Postpublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2019

    Liverpool 1-0 Everton

One ball over the top from the back is enough to put Sadio Mane in behind the Everton backline, Mason Holgate is able to recover but that was all too easy.

    Chelsea 1-1 Aston Villa

Trezeguet’s equaliser against Chelsea which was assisted by Ahmed El Mohamady is the first Premier League goal to be both scored and assisted by Egyptian players.

Khan Karn: Wowwwwww what a ball by Mane. Origi becoming more agile in those situations too rounding the keeper.

Elliott Gilmore: What a ball into Origi. Pass of the year!!! Mane is different class. If that was Messi it would be in ALL of the papers.

    Liverpool 1-0 Everton

That early goal came on the break after Everton had gone on the attack. A dangerous game.

  14. 'An unbelievable pass'published at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2019

    Liverpool 1-0 Everton

    Michael Brown
Former Manchester City midfielder on BBC 5 Live Sports Extra

What an unbelievable pass from Sadio Mane. In behind the Everton back three, Origi was in there, he touched the pass round Jordan Pickford and just tapped it home. It's all about the quality of the pass, it's a brilliant goal.

    Divock Origi (6 mins)

    BIG GAME PLAYER.

What a ball this is by Sadio Mane, left-footed, dead weight in behind the Everton defence and Divock Origi takes it with aplomb, skips around a stranded Jordan Pickford and then just rolls it in at the Anfield Road End.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin could be in for a lonely night. There's about 30 yards between him and the rest of his team-mates. Adam Lallana, by the way, is playing as a 10 for Liverpool and not in the Fabinho role.

  17. Postpublished at 20:20 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2019

    Man Utd 1-1 Spurs

Manchester United should have been out of sight to be quite honest. They had eight shots, at least half of them could conceivably have been goals.

  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2019

    Man Utd 1-1 Spurs

A brilliant game for the neutral and it's all square at the break.

  19. Postpublished at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2019

This is the first time Mike Dean has refereed at Anfield by the way. He'll put on a show I'm sure.

Lotak: That was an absolutely sublime piece of skill from Dele. What a beautiful goal that Tottenham thoroughly do not deserve.

Josh Hammond: Best United have been for a long time but we all knew a spurs goal was coming. Spurs taking their chances, United haven't. Cracking finish from Dele Alli though.
