Newcastle haven't many forays in the Sheffield United area, only one of real quality anyway. Sheffield United have committed men forward but just haven't been able to find that goal. There's an awful lot to play for in the second half but Newcastle will be delighted with their first-half work.

Let's see how Dunk fares tonight. Aaron Connolly is lightning quick, harassing David Luiz again.

Bishop Yinkus: I'm a fan of Lewis Dunk and we had a perfect chance to sign him under Arsene Wenger but we passed up the opportunity instead and I believe he is still better than our top central defender by miles.

Ollie Norwood lines up the free-kick and connects brilliantly, it's whipping into the top corner but Martin Dubravka makes another very decent save indeed!

As an Arsenal back four you can't hesitate with Aaron Connolly around. David Luiz should've been aggressive and dealt with that but he didn't.

A head injury brings play to a halt momentarily - it's Newcastle midfielder Isaac Hayden seeing stars. He nutted the back of Oli McBurnie's head.

It's a bigger crowd than we normally see at the Arsenal on a Thursday but it's still not full.

Sheffield United are pressing high up the pitch in search of an equaliser with their defenders camped just inside their half.

Newcastle are the polar opposite, defending very deep. They are winning so far but can they hold out for around 50 minutes playing so defensively?

Newcastle are struggling to get out of their half at the moment. Sheffield United are just having wave after wave of attack. The Newcastle defenders are having to work really hard to keep Sheffield United at bay. It may pay-off in the second half.

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton boss Graham Potter is making his first return to Arsenal since managing Swedish side Ostersunds to victory over the Gunners in the Europa League in February 2018.

Asked whether he would be a Premier League manager if Ostersunds had not had such a good run in Europe, Potter tells Amazon Prime: "Probably not.

"We all get to a certain point by doing something and everyone's path is different. Ostersunds was mine."

Brighton gave leaders Liverpool a scare at Anfield on Saturday before losing 2-1.

"We're expecting a difficult game," added Potter. "Arsenal are a top team with top players in all areas of the pitch.

"There are some things we need to improve but we'll take the positives from Liverpool and see where we go."
