Most Arsenal fans are rooting for Allegri, definitely the most exciting out of the names linked and his calibre would instantly unify the fan base.

'You've picked who?'
Andy Carroll is starting his first Premier League game for Newcastle in eight years and 342 days - the second longest run between starts for the club in the competition after the late, great Pavel Srnicek (nine years, 62 days).

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder makes two changes as Billy Sharp and Oli McBurnie are named in the first XI. The duo replace Lys Mousset and David McGoldrick.

Sheff Utd XI: Henderson, Basham, Egan, O'Connell, Baldock, Lundstram, Norwood, Fleck, Stevens, McBurnie, Sharp. Subs: Luke Freeman, Robinson, Jagielka, McGoldrick, Mousset, Moore, Besic.
Just the one change for Newcastle, with Andy Carroll replacing Joelinton up front.
It is Carroll's first start for Newcastle since 2010!
Newcastle XI: Dubravka, Manquillo, Fernandez, Clark, Dummett, Willems, Almiron, Hayden, Shelvey, Saint-Maximin, Carroll. Subs: Schar, Joelinton, Gayle, Krafth, Darlow, Atsu, Sean Longstaff.

Newcastle have only lost two of their last 21 league games in Yorkshire (W14 D5), with those defeats coming against Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship (April 2017) and Huddersfield in the Premier League (August 2017).
A win tonight would send them up to 11th.

Re Arsenal's next manager. It doesn't matter who it is unless they replace at least four of the defence they will never change they are not good enough.
Nick, North Yorkshire
Who made Andy Carroll number seven for Newcastle?!
I'm not having that for a second.

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder: "Newcastle beat Manchester United and Tottenham away. They are capable and we feel we are too. All set for a cracking match.
"Billy Sharp has been knocking on the door. It is a different sort of week for us in the Premier League - it is a three-game week. We have to pick the right side tonight and I feel we have done."

Chris Wilder upsets Fantasy Football fans by leaving Lys Mousset on the bench - Billy Sharp and Ollie McBurnie come in up front.
ANDY CAROLL STARTS for Newcastle. Woosh.

I mean it hasn't - but no player has had more shots without scoring in the Premier League this season than Miguel Almirón (23, level with Sheffield United’s David McGoldrick).
However, the Paraguayan did register his first assist in the competition last time out against Manchester City.
Will the goal-shy duo both start tonight? You'll know in a minute or two...

Sheffield United
Chris Wilder has pulled up more than enough trees over the last few years to earn the right to compete at the top end of the Premier League - but the Blades' success has still been a surprise to some.
Not Steve Bruce though.
"Over the summer, he was seeking my advice over one or two things and, before I knew it, I'm seeking advice from him!," Bruce said.
"I'm delighted at what he's done. There are not enough English, British coaches around and I'm delighted when somebody like him is doing so well having earned his spurs in the lower divisions, worked away for a lot of years and finally got his chance.
"He had to do it taking his home-town club from the first division into the Premier League, but he's taken that swagger into the Premier League which his team plays with."
Arsenal v Brighton (20:15 GMT)
Arsenal
If Chris Wilder can do no wrong in the Sheffield United dugout, the man in temporary charge at Arsenal has a to-do list longer than a Leonard Cohen song.
Freddie Ljungberg was a wonderful player for the Arsenal but is he the man to sort this mess out?
A win tonight would certainly be a start...
A very busy week is wrapped up at Bramall Lane and at the Emirates. Lovely stuff.

Sheffield United
Let's have it right, Chris Wilder has produced nothing short of miracles on the pitch ever since he swapped Oxford United for Northampton Town back in January 2014.
I could go on but just accept that I'm speaking the truth. But not even the most ardent Blades fan would surely have imagined that their side would be in the top six of the Premier League when they were getting the Christmas tree out of the loft...
That could well be the case if:
Still too early? I think so but it's a battle I'm losing...
