Should be 1-0! Anthony Martial puts Jesse Lingard through on goal and the midfielder races clear. He draws out Ben Foster and goes for a cheeky chip but there's just too much on it and the ball lands on the roof of the net.

Watford look better than a side at the bottom of the table. It's whether or not they can sustain that type of pressure. They have to be careful not to get caught out but at the moment they are okay. They are giving themselves a chance if they hold on. You have a feeling that the quality Manchester United have is going to service at some moment in the game.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been Manchester United's best player so far as he once again snuffs out a promising Watford foray down the flank.

He then gets up the pitch to join a Manchester United attack, which is ended by the linesman's flag as Anthony Martial is offside as he collects Jesse Lingard's pass.

Marcus Rashford wins a corner for Manchester United but the delivery isn't great and Watford deal with the danger.

Manchester United put in a superb away performance against Manchester City, catching the home defence on the back foot with a pacy attack.

Not seeing any of that football here, though, with the visitors struggling to pass their way through the Watford defence.

Abdoulaye Doucoure tries to find Troy Deeney inside the box with a low ball from the right but it is cut out by Harry Maguire.

Watford do attack with pace and purpose but come up short in the final third.

babyboomer: Watford look to have some big lads at the back so irrespective of their league position, lobbing the ball aimlessly into the penalty area is probably not Manchester United's best tactic.

It's been quite an open game so far. Watford's press is going to make it open because they are not going to sit back and soak up pressure from Manchester United. They are going to try and apply pressure but they have to make good choices when they are in possession. If they do then they could be a threat.

Nervy moment for Manchester United fans as David de Gea spills the ball after attempting to catch the delivery from Watford's corner. Abdoulaye Doucoure slams home but the whistle had already gone for a foul on De Gea.

Early days but Watford are not looking too bad here. Certainly carry a threat going forward.
