We have not seen anything from Manchester United. I mean the first half was not great, there has been no great opportunities. They have had no flow or attacking movement, it just has not been here.

Shane O'Neill: Being outplayed and beaten by the absolute worst team in the division should be the final nail in the coffin for Solskjaer. Can’t defend him anymore. Pearson is a better coach.

De Gea has been at fault for 3 goals in the last 3 games. He should have come for the corner vs City. Weak against Everton. And this howler today. Time for a little spell on the bench!!

    Watford 2-0 Man Utd

    Matt Upson
Former England and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

The goals have really given Watford a confidence to have a go at Manchester United, they have a cushion. The confidence has lifted and the atmosphere around Vicarage Road is electric.

  14. Postpublished at 63 mins

    Watford 2-0 Man Utd

Manchester United appear to have given up defending the flanks and now Ismaila Sarr is away down the right. The visitors get players back into the middle and the opportunity is gone.

Watford are looking good at the moment, though. The Nigel Pearson effect.

  15. Postpublished at 61 mins

Kiko has loads of space down the left and options in the middle. He cuts inside and looks to have lost the ball but is able to find Gerard Deulofeu, whose near-post cross is knocked behind for a corner.

Etienne Capoue sends the ball into the box, it is cleared but only to Will Hughes on the edge of the area but the midfielder's first-time volley goes flying towards the Vicarage Road roof.

Lotak: Man Utd - play like Liverpool vs top 6. Man Utd - play like Watford vs the rest. How this is the same team that dominated Spurs and City is beyond me. Absolutely awful.

The frustration of being a United fan really does know no bounds.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 57 mins

  20. 'Deeney has confidence in his penalties'published at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2019

    Watford 2-0 Man Utd

    Matt Upson
Former England and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

You never doubt Troy Deeney has the mentality and composure to score. The confidence he has in himself when it comes to penalties is so important. He always puts good power on the strike. Manchester United have come out for this second half and been caught cold.
