Conor Hourihane swings a deep ball in from the left and Wesley is there but can't quite get enough on it. Ben Foster gathers it in safely.
Not much in this.

Newcastle United 0-1 Everton
We'll see. They are very passive so far, sitting off and letting Everton have it in midfield.

Everton have got to take their chances. Newcastle are going to get better, they can't get any worse!
Watford 0-0 Aston Villa
Nice build-up from Watford but Gerard Deulofeu's pass is too heavy for Ismaila Sarr on the right.
It forces him wide and eventually Villa win a free-kick in their own half.
Southampton 0-0 Crystal Palace
Wilfried Zaha breathed offside. Absolutely inches. Nothing in it. Bonkers really but that's the rules.

Former Everton winger on BBC Final Score
Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored a good goal against Burnley and wants to make that number nine shirt his own. His hold-up play and his all-round play is excellent, the goals were just missing. Now he looks like answering that. It was a classic striker's goal. However, Newcastle were all over the place defensively.
Newcastle United 0-1 Everton
Hard to nail down Everton's shape here but I'm settling on 4-4-2 with Walcott and Richarlison out wide. It's a bold line up and working so far.
Southampton 0-0 Crystal Palace
HANG ON.
Wilfried Zaha is deemed offside by VAR. No goal for Palace. We're all square again.

A great chance for two! Newcastle are all at sea as one ball around the corner sends Moise Kean away. He looks up and squares it for Theo Walcott, who slices it into a defender and away. Really poor finish.
Max Meyer
First goal of the season for Max Meyer!
Wilfried Zaha jiggles past two defenders on the left and drills it low into the box. Max Meyer is on hand to blast it in.

Watford are more organised and playing with belief under Nigel Pearson. The players have taken to his 'school teacher' approach. They like the simplicity he has brought. With Troy Deeney coming back in and the wide players they have more attacking flair.

Everton deserve it. Newcastle started brightly but it's been all Everton since then. Their energy levels have been great. It's not the best strike, but he's not bothered about that. You've got to say they deserve it.
Southampton 0-0 Crystal Palace
Not too much to scream about here.
A nice ripped shirt for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg though.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin (13 mins)
It had been coming!
Gylfi Sigurdsson's free-kick is poor and into the wall, it comes back to the Icelander and his scuffed shot then runs through to Dominic Calvert-Lewin at the far post. The former Northampton man keeps his cool to bundle a low shot across goal and into the far corner.

Everton are playing with a lot of confidence. Their energy levels are fantastic so far. Unfortunately, I think the system is costing Newcastle at the moment.
Newcastle United 0-0 Everton
First real chance falls to Everton! They recycle a corner back to Leighton Baines, whose cross to the far post is excellent. Moise Kean sees a header blocked, Richarlison has a shot saved, the ball pops back out to Mason Holgate, whose shot is well saved by Martin Dubravka. Scramble stuff.
Watford 0-0 Aston Villa
Ismaila Sarr has a crack from the right side of the box. The angle is a bit tight but he gets it on target.
Matt Targett is in the way. Corner.
Southampton 0-0 Crystal Palace
Danny Ings chases down Vicente Guaita and the Palace keeper has to hurriedly pass it out for a throw-in.
Saints just starting to build the intensity.
Newcastle United 0-0 Everton
Gylfi Sigurdsson in a two-man central midfield. It's been tried before, can Carlo make it work?
Everton are having a good spell here but Moise Kean can't quite link up with Richarlison.
