Could it be more than a red for Christian Kabasele?

The VAR is having a good look...

    Southampton 1-0 Tottenham

Spurs have been woeful in the final third.

They've not been to great at the back either.

Lacking bite in the middle of the park too.

    Apart from that...

Nate H: I've not seen Spurs play too often but their forward play is so flat and they aren’t on the same wavelength. Dele looks a fraction of the player of two years ago and Eriksen can’t beat the first man with a cross. Awful.

  6. CLOSE!published at 16:27 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2020

    Southampton 1-0 Tottenham

    Too easy for Southampton.

Giovani Lo Celso sends a hanging cross to the back post which Jan Vertonghen meets but heads straight at Alex McCarthy.

    Newcastle 0-2 Leicester

Leicester have had 70% of the ball and are just walking through this second half. Demarai Gray then gets in the way of Ayoze Perez as they queued up to shoot.

  8. 'Neto took his chance'published at 16:26 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2020

    Watford 2-1 Wolves

    Dion Dublin
Former Man Utd striker on BBC Final Score

It's a great strike from Neto - he is 25 yards out from goal and has just thought 'i'm going to have a go'. He gets lucky with the way it goes over the goalkeeper, but if you take the chance to shoot then you deserve it.

I can't be the only one thinking that someone has negated telling the Tottenham players that football goes on after the Champions League final and there's a new season? They are putting the same amount of effort I did working the couple of days before my Christmas break.

I forgot to mention a horrible air shot from Joelinton which rather sums up Newcastle's day before Leicester take off Kelechi Iheanacho and bring on Demarai Gray. PACE.

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:20 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2020

    Newcastle 0-2 Leicester

If Jonjo Shelvey was not injured when he was replaced at half time then yes, that is a bad call. I just presume that he must have been.

Leicester catch Newcastle two-on-two and Martin Drubravka does really well to save from first Kelechi Iheanacho and then Ayoze Perez. Loud jeers ring out around the stadium.

  15. goal

GOAL - Watford 2-1 Wolvespublished at 16:19 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2020

    Pedro Neto (60 mins)

    Back in it.

It looks a brilliant strike from long range by Pedro Neto, but on second viewing, the a huge deflection off Christian Kabasele as the ball loops over Ben Foster and nestles in the back of the net.

    Neto's first Premier League goal.

  16. 'Poor managerial decision by Bruce'published at 16:18 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2020

    Newcastle 0-2 Leicester

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Final Score

Newcastle have been outclassed by Leicester City so you can understand why Steve Bruce has made the changes at half-time. But you always run the risk of injuries and this happening. It's a poor managerial decision. They have to balance chasing the game and damage limitation with 10 men.

  19. 'A Newcastle comeback is nigh on impossible'published at 16:17 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2020

    Newcastle 0-2 Leicester

    Rob Green
Former Chelsea and England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

You don't want to go down to 10 men against Leicester, they will exploit you, they have been an absolute joy today. They are flying, they have good players going well and will exploit those spaces.

Newcastle will be counting down those minutes, breaking the game into chunks, because the game is gone now. For them to come back is nigh on impossible.

  20. Postpublished at 16:16 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2020

    Southampton 1-0 Tottenham

I still can't believe they didn't give Southampton a penalty for a Toby Alderweireld handball a few minutes ago.

Just the referee, two assistants, fourth official, the VAR team unable to spot that.

    Give them more help.
